i did, too, but i just did them as much to the end as i could and either left them or cut the very end part off. you couild also try using a lighter to do the ends just holdit far enough away from them and use the heat from them to get them to seal.

I wanted dreads years ago till I heard once you want them gone, you have to shave your head. I'd look like a total dork with a buzz cut, lol.

ok otherwise you could try the hot water or even using a tea kettle and holding it in the hot steam.
