If Cobain wouldnt have died then Nirvana would have just beem remembered as another band and pearl Jam would be considered by all the best band of the 90's. The same reason why 2pac, Elvis, Biggie are "the best"...Nirvana was amazing, noone is saying otherwise, but pearl jam is just better.

Hey, don't misquote me ! I'm fan of Nirvana, I have all their albums, I definitly prefer In Utero than Nevermind that I find too clean, too perfect, and I love Bleach as well !

But Kurt said that Pearl Jam were juste enjoying Nirvana's fame,and it's bullshit, PJ has nothing to do with Nirvana, it's very different, Soundgarden and PJ were there way before Nirvana, and Ten was released in the same time than Nevermind !

Smells like teen spirit and the release of Nevermind started the hype - there surely was real Grunge Music before in Seattle - from the early 80ies on, but if we're talking bout this whole hype thing we have to accept that it was based on those four bands incl. nirvana.

Nirvana has nothing to do with the grunge scene and were probably more "commercial" (I hate that word but Kurt used it) than Pearl Jam !

Anyway, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam Rule and Dave Grohl is a genius !
