@die996 the first dragster crash is Jerry Caminito's massive crash. He was thought to definitley die, but recovered and 2 years later returned to racing. the Late Model crash is Jack Bland at hagerstown, 1996. Miraculously he only broke his leg.

You got some of the worst crashes ever in this. Robert Wolks, FF Festival is the 2nd crash. After that is Alexandre Premat at Adrias. How Wolks escaped relatively uninjured I'll never known. See it in real speed.

That race was held at Pau (Fr), and that flying car was a Viper.

@NBAfanDallas it's the Goodwood revival meeting in England. I was there when this crash hapenned in 2009. The GT40 and Mclaren Can Am cars involved in the crash are genuine, and not replicas. They are £1,000,000+ cars.

@jws381 Yes it was hard to watch such pieces of art being crashed, but better to see them being used as race cars than sitting in a garage somewhere. If you have the money to own one, then you have the money to fix it.

@jaked812812 That's Richard Hammond from Top Gear crashing while driving a jet dragster at almost 290 mph (right front tire blew). He suffered some head injuries but recovered and came back to Top Gear a few months later.
