GM sends all of their jobs to Mexico for cheap labor building cheap parts. By making 2 of the virtually same cars under different names, they have to have 2 factories and 2 times the workers and 2 times the equipment and 2 times the parts. if they just had one then it would be much more efficient. you dont see successful car manufactures like honda doing this.

Look at the Toyota Sequia then look at the Lexus GX. Hell, even ford does it. Look at the Ford edge, then look at the lincoln MKX. Look at the Ford F-150 then look at the Lincoln Mark LT. I aint here to argue or piss anybody off, but yes. MANY car manufacturers do this. Its just GM's vehicles are more similar looking. silverado vs sierra for ex.

@energy4541 the comparison between luxury brands and their normal counter parts is not the same as what GM does. Luxury cars are significantly different cars than their normal counterparts even though they may have a similar chassis. The engine and all of the internals of the vehicle are different and the interior is completely different. Thats why there is such a jump in price between the normal and luxury. GM literally just makes the same car and sticks a different badge on it.
