  • that looks so sick with them pave tyers i just love that classics set up for all the bikes

  • Anyone know where one can get the black cervelo-castelli jacket rider has on in the very beginning of video?

  • I had the pleasure of seeing one of these out and about today. A truly epic bike.

  • being an owner of two Cervelo bikes, I'd love to have the money to buy that frame-no questions asked-

they're really pushing the boundaries-hopefully UCI will understand that technology is useful & take away those bike limitations from the sport

  • Anyone know what song is playing the background?

  • why is it called 'Project California'? The frames are made in california designed in canada and he is cycling in belgium.. hmm.. kewl :)

  • 'Give it a burl' - you can take the boy out of Australia but you can't take Australia out of the boy

  • It's not massed produced but the frames are still made in China....

    They are great bikes though.

Don't take it personally. I don't want any hate mails.

  • @dahgutone

wrong, the majority of bikes from Cervelo are made in Asia, but these are super limited edition, hand made from the ground up in CA. You can clearly see them using the mill to make the mold and them hand laying and baking the frames as well as assembling with what seems like a special kind of epoxy for certain sections like at the chainstays and seatstays. This is all being done in SoCal

  • @Shadowboost

    Hmm I agree.

I was going to tell you to tell that to snoopster77 but you already done it.

But these special frames are probably for the Cervelo Test Team isn't it? And not for the everyday competitive cyclist.

So when it's massed produced...I think we all know where it's coming from.

  • @dahgutone All R5ca frames will be made in California, now and in the future. Of course, some of the technology developed in California and shown on the R5ca will eventually also make it into frames made elsewhere. The team will probably get none, as it really isn't useful to have a 675g frame if you then need to add weights to get it up to 6.8kg. But us mere mortals who don't need to worry about that UCI rule can actually take advantage of the lower weight.

  • @dahgutone cervelo frames are made in Canada

  • @ShokwaveProductions sorry, but this is not correct either. Cervelos are made in China as dahgutone says (but designed in Canada and must meet quality control standards). However, the Project California/ R5CA was most certainly made ground up in CA.

  • @Shadowboost

Cervelo bikes are all made in Taiwan, with the exception of the R5CA, not mainland China. Big difference.

  • I LOVE CERVELO! JUST WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS HAD WON ME OVER!

  • how much was it again?

  • Awwwwwwwesome! Truly amazing: The feats of engineering!

  • finally a new episode, just awesome you guys!

  • Awesome!

  • The bike is screaming hot =D
