I cant agree with either of the last two posters, true the 3 cockpits are near the top, and yes its weight drarfs all other mechs, but it is a slow machine, till the posiden model was made(it is a refined vareint) and yes a timberwolf is well rounded, but a singel (well aimed) salvo could tear most of it up, but the thing is, if u were to break just one cockpit and kill the pilot, it becomes harder to man, it takes 3 to man the massive machine(which only goes 10kph) but its still expermental

single salvo? LOL, bud, a mech that slow is wont even get a lock on a good pilot in a fast mech. And if the cockpits are that high, then take out the legs. But Admira, dont lecture me on mech combat, you probably only played that gay ass tabletop game. Ive been piloting mechs for almost 20 years now. And trust me, i know a thing or to about taking down larger mechs. You apply the same tactics that you would when trying to take down an atlas with an elemental.

1. the table top version is okay

2. i have played the games and ill admit you may have more years of experience than i have years, but regardless, the armor on the legs is thick enough to allow for some protection, it turns pretty fast and has a long range

3. the Ares pwns your little timby,

4. the ares is NOT a front line mech, its a command mech, with all the appropriate sensors and bells and whistles, it would see you before you saw it, and one is all it takes

actually there is a newer ares that doesnt need 3 pilots but looses about five tons to go to about 125 tons...and try getting near the legs... the AP pods will still tear you to shreds or at least get a crapload of damage done to even an atlas

Mechs that big are useless in my opinion. Just run rings around it with a Timber wolf and take pot shots at the cockpit

I totally disagree, if you are fighting against a noob then yes you prolly be able to take him out in for example a Daishi(<-my fav mech of all times btw) by running around it, however a skilled player would just get out from the circle and wait for the right time to blow one of your legs away with an alpha strike and then.. you are pretty much dead ^-^, remember big mechs might not have the speed but they have some kickass firepower!
