  • "I'll take off all my blues."

She's wearing nothing but blue. 8U

  • 8:45 that rats a despicable bastard isnt he XD?

  • Strippers, guns, knives, date-rape drugs, and alcohol all in one scene. Best of Disney! ;)

  • Its moments like these that make me realize why this generation is so perverted.

a sexy mouse dancing about in a bar.

  • With Miss Kitty Mouse, it's no wonder there are furry fans considering how hot they use to make anthropomorphic animals in the 80s and 90s. For i agree, Miss Kitty Mouse, Cheetara, Cleo on Heathcliff, Julie Bruin with Bimbette on Tiny Toons, the Swat Kat girls, Gadget, Felicia on Darkstalkers, Angel on Rock and Rule, Minerva Mink, M'ress on Star Trek TAS, Aishia Clan Clan, Kit Mambo and even Catwoman in that Batman TAS episode where she got transformed into a literal cat-woman were all hot ^_^

  • @Johnlindsey289 Let's not forget about the sexy male anthropomorphic, like Basil himself, or Lion O, chanticleer from Rock a doodle, and sooo many others, you know for us ladies.

  • 7:43 makes me remember of Saw.

  • @TheAGKMisadventures

    He's a rodent Jigsaw

  • 1:47 And thus, young boys became furries (apologize if I offended anyone. I was just making a joke)

  • @CHCHuser

Indeed, i and other kids of my generation who saw this on the big screen back in 86 became furries and Cheetara did the same back then as well, don't forget that.

  • By the way, is anyone else reminded of that song Moriarty sang in A Game of Shadows when Holmes was being hung on the hook when Ratigan's song's playing?

  • Those piano keys defy gravity!

  • I know who most of these characters are supposed to be, but are we supposed to believe that the annoying Fidget is Sebastian Moran?

  • Silly Ratigan!! You never tell your plan nor how they die. If you do then you must stay to watch! xD

  • LOL, She can sing.

  • @andyjake76

Indeed and what a singer she is and can dance nicely

  • 6:43 "Ratigan... so help me... I'll see you BEHIND BARS YET!" i love that quote. You tell him, Basil

  • You know, Watson would never have drink the beer, he would be smart enough to feel something was wrong, OR listen to Sherlock.

  • "Let me be good to you" kind of reminds me of "Let me entertain you" from Gypsy...I wonder if they were paying homage...o.O

  • dawson drunk makes me laugh

  • 01:40 - 01:58 i hate men wen they act like that ugh

  • Wouldn't people notice the cord coming out of Robo Queenie's backside? Naaaahhh

  • Now that I have this on DVD, I don't watch it on YouTube as much. As a result, I don't post as many comments. So I think now would be a good time to thank Basil (and others who have helped explain things) for answering my comments, helping me to solve some of the mysteries behind this epic movie. Thank you all, and goodbye for now.

  • He may not have the usual rebellious princess gettin married at 16 to a guy she's known for less than a day, but he didn't forget drugs, violence, weapons, and strippers. Way to go Walt!

  • @MissSunflower242 Uhh, actually this movie is after his time.

  • @MissSunflower242 Hey these things are happening! Worse than the movie really... :/

  • "i think you are a slimy contemptible sewer rat!!" Oh no he didnt XD

  • @HeadstrongSiblings Oh yes I did! - Basil

  • @BasilTheDetective It's about time someone did.

  • "Ratigan, no one could have a higher opinion of you than I have. And I think you're a slimy, contemptible SEWER RAT!!"

    XD Love that line.

  • We are SURE that our hero DOSEN'T have depression? Or mood swings? Because he went from "Yay, I'm winning" to "Oh crap, it's a trap" to "Make that record go faster . . ."

  • @IndianaJonesfans09 Sherlock Holmes had mood swings at times. - Basil

  • @BasilTheDetective Hmm, didn't know that.

  • @BasilTheDetective he also smoked opium and injected a cocain solution from time to time as it was all legal back in good ol victorian london. how about it basil, chase the dragon a little do we?;)

  • @BasilTheDetective Sherlock Holmes is basically bi-polar.

  • @IndianaJonesfans09 To Mr. Sherlock, the use of his mind to detect and deduce is the only purpose in his life. To be shown that you've been outwitted by such a simple plot would be most shocking. It is very likely that he did have depression, for when his mind was stilled, he would turn to cocaine and morphine to challenge him between cases.

  • @IndianaJonesfans09 Sherlock Holmes, who Basil is on, had some pretty sever emotional issues, and it's fan theory that depression was one of them.

  • @beautifulpassion *severe

  • @IndianaJonesfans09 Sherlock Holmes is said to have Asperger's Syndrome, characterized by mood swings and depressions. So it's likely Basil's an aspie too, and thus shows many aspie traits. ;)

  • Basil, I am truly amazed with how you got out of that trap. Bravo!

  • Miss Kitty Mouse...seen by a whole generation of children...now we have the furry community...hmmm

  • @ElJorro What about Mrs. Brisby or Maid Marian?

    - Basil

  • @BasilTheDetective

    Them too! Attractive Anthromorphic Animals

  • Comment removed

  • @BasilTheDetective

Isn't it funny how back in the 80s/90s cartoons they got away with making anthros attractive? i mean you had this chick, Cheetara, Sally on Sonic The Hedgehog, Minerva Mink, Cleo on Heathcliff, Aishia Clan Clan, the Swat kats girls, Gadget, M'ress on Star Trek TAS, Kit Mambo on Animalympics, Julie Bruin on Tiny Toons and even Selina Kyle as an ACTUAL cat-woman in that Batman TAS episode (Remember?)

  • @BasilTheDetective Speaking of Ms. Brisby, Kitty Mouse looks like Cynthia.

  • @ElJorro Yeah I blame most of the cartoons I watched as a kid as to how i became a furry too. But i take being a furry over whatever the kids of today might become from their cartoons.

  • @ElJorro that explains the boys...though Basil is probably a good reason for the female side of things

  • @ElJorro

Even by the kids of the 80s like myself? and don't forget about Cheetara

  • @ElJorro

Indeed! almost any kid who grew up in the 80s who saw this movie became a furry fan such as myself who i saw this in theaters 4 times when i was 5 when it came out and had a crush on her as it was her with Thundercats and the show Heathcliff that made me the furry fan i am and probably did the same to other kids back then.

  • i like how its a disney movie and they have whores in the movie listin to the song in the bar

  • I honestly think Ratigan is gay for Basil. But he's a douche

  • Oh man, i had a crush on a crush on Miss Kitty Mouse when i was 5 when i saw this in theaters as i remembered blushing when i first saw her and even at age 10 when i saw the re-issue. She's cute for a mouse, who else thinks so? and nice legs too.

  • @Johnlindsey289 lol, same here. When I saw this movie again today, at 23 years old I was like, "Wow, to think they had a stripper show in a film that was aimed mostly at kids. But I liked it." XD.......

  • The scene where Dawson's dancing with the showgirls reminds me of The Private life of Sherlock Holmes. Anyone who's seen that movie knows what I mean, lol

  • For all those people saying that this movie is corrupting our children and stuff, may I just interject that I LOVED this movie as a child, and watched it over and over; and all that it has instilled in me is a minor obsession with sherlock holmes stories? I was not corrupted.

  • Strippers, underwear, drunkness, smoking, violence.

Well Todays disney will never be as it was in the good days..

  • @JokerFlickan and not to mention drugs..

  • hey fellas,I'll take off all my clothes for you...uuuuhhh okay,i don't hear these type of lines in Disney movies of today's world.

  • @FightsRightsAlways Clearly you have not seen Pirates of the Carribean. And this movie was made in 1986. It's not that old.

  • @AnimeLovr4 lol and it's pretty obvious that you can't read.i am aware that this movie was made a while back,i'm saying that you wouldn't see a mouse stripping and saying she's take her clothes off in a CHILD'S movie in TODAY'S WORLD.comparing this to pirates of the Caribbean was pointless,it's rated pg-13!!.it's not made for little kids.if your going to try and give someone a lesson then you should probably know what your talking about in the first place.but you DON'T so shut up.

  • @FightsRightsAlways Hm. Little touchy there, FRA. I just used pirates as an example since you just said DISNEY movie. You never generalized what kind of disney movie. I can read just fine. You don't have to be mean about it. I'm just saying there ARE disney movies that have this in it, you definitely can see it this day and age if you look. I definitely know what I am talking about, and "shut up?" Nice. Very mature. Sarcasm is a foreign concept to you, isn't it?

  • @AnimeLovr4no i just hate it when people try to sound smart but their only making fools of themselves.and i think repeating what the mouse said was pretty self explanatory, therefore i was talking about THIS Disney movie, sorry that you can't read in between the lines but it's all right there,it doesn't call for deep thinking.others got what i was saying just by READING IT.and no disney does not make movies with content like this in them any more.note-think before you type.that better?

  • Dang, Fidget changed his clothes in less than 30 seconds

  • Wow...how wildly inappropriate is this song?! Mind you, it was a bar...shame on Disney... corrupting our minds by disguising it with amazing animation and a story line that fits. :D

  • @JBicks18 I agree. This song plus the act is a bit... err... riskay for a Disney film, but I wouldnt say its the soul corruption. But i do agree :)

  • @SingingBelle94 I guess it's not total corruption, but they cleverly masked it! I mean, what else do you expect in bar..a gospel choir? But yeah...definitely risque!

  • @JBicks18 Yeah, I agree with you, that is true, no gospel in a bar. agreed.

  • Did anyone notice that the mouse's technology is far more advanced than the humans.... How the heck did that happen???????

  • Hiram was gagged at 8:48 but he was not at 8:52.

  • Ratigan seriously got to Basil, making him look like a jackass infront of his minions and Dawson in a stylish, hurtful way takes skill lol

(Oh and btw,OK sure, the characters in this movie do smoke and drink, but so what?? Don't we all? For your dumasses who are hating the movie cause of that, grow up already. Its not like Basil is saying "Smoke cigarettes its good for you." Its just a movie. Your suppose to enjoy it not freraking point out the negative shit in it.)

  • 3:01-end of song: Dawson, you're lucky Basil doesn't blackmail you for that one.

  • Sheesh that was a complicated plan to eliminiate Basil!

  • Who cares if this has drugs, beer, guns, and furry showgirls? Someday when I have kids, I'm going to show this to them.

  • Ratigan+Vincent Price(master of horror)=EPIC FUNNY STUFF!!!

  • Poor Basil! Poor Hiram! Poor Dawson! Poor Olivia! :(

Ratigan is such a rat! >:(

  • @TheFahmad27 In more ways than one

  • Cartoon mice were never so sexy.

  • If anyone just heard a loud crack, that was my heart breaking for Basil.

  • i hate how in evey movie there is that one clumsy, stupid idiot ugh!!>:(

  • @TheThisIsMe2010 Showgirls! It's my favorite movie!

  • That whole bit with the showgirls=The scene that (probably) spawned a couple hundred furries

  • "he goes by the name of 'Ratigen'"

    *GASP!!!!!!*

    "I've....uh...never heard of him"

    Suuuure you havent!

  • @Megakingofcoolness She's lying! That bar waitress is hiding something from us! >:(

  • People keep commenting on all the negatives in this movie -- smoking, drinking, etc. - but it was made in the 80's. People weren't so easily offended then and if they were they didn't whine about it to everyone else. Also, they left out the fact that Holmes was addicted to cocaine, though I understand that Basil is, in theory, not Holmes.

  • @whitewashedlife i I know right. This is a great movie, people just need to enjoy it or not watch it, and not point out EVERY single negative thing.. like this stuff doesn't happen in real life! Let's wrap our kids in bubblewrap and keep them from anything bad, this will make them SO prepared for the real world.

  • @whitewashedlife

exactly in the series hes a major addict and thats one of his major things, finally someone who understands

  • Don't give up, Basil!

  • Goodness Felisha the cat is extremely fat!! She's should think about going on a diet or something!!

  • 0:10 - 0:19 A BIGGED LIPPED ALLIGATOR MOMENT!!!

  • 04:57 LOL

  • Is Ratigin played by Vincent Price? It just sounds like his voice.

  • @candyjoker66 Yes - Basil

  • @BasilTheDetective his voice is perfect for this.

  • @candyjoker66 Yes he is. :)

  • @candyjoker66 Glauco Onorato! :)

  • 1:42 Did Not See That Comin O___0''

  • 5:50 That sarcasm was just plain mean....but still rather hilarious.

7:07 Poor Basil! That had to have been humiliating.

7:26 Why an elaborate scheme to kill Basil? Couldn't Ratigan just have the cat eat him?

9:13 Congratulations, Basil. Being late saved your life. Your elaborate plan wouldn't have worked if Ratigan had stayed to watch.

  • @mcmptn

"Couldn't Ratigan just have the cat eat him?"

Obviously you've never had the pleasure of being an evil genius. Most of 'em aren't much fond of simplicity-- least of all when you're dealing with your arch-nemesis! It's simply unthinkable to just shoot someone who's given you so much trouble-- you'd be belittling yourself in the act!

  • @Bhikshu2 You're right. I've missed out on that pleasure. (sob for all the wasted years)

So basically, "After all the trouble you've given me, I'm going to give you some! You're going to get the worst thing I can think of instead of a death that just anyone could have!"? To show how much power you have over the arch-nemesis?

Thanks for the explanation. I appreciate it.

By the way, should I assume you've had the pleasure of being an evil genius? ;)

  • Am I the only one to notice that the Bat's peg leg keeps switching which leg its on?

  • If Ratigan's plan was to squash Bazil to death all he had to do was sit on him...

  • I'm from the 90s I dont drink smoke or do drugs dint bother me

  • Hahaha, the things Disney got away with!

  • You end these videos on great cliffhangers! Well done!

  • @scottski02 When I was dividing the movie, I didn't want it to just end a part suddenly, so I put it at an appropriate time. - Basil

  • olivia's dad is a genius for inventing this queen machine

  • That bat looks like a gremlin.

  • Good lord Ratigan is friggen hilarious

  • Lol those mice that dance making guy mice go crazy!

  • Whoo, yon olden days of my childhood when smoking and showgirls and liquor were all perfectly acceptable at Disney! (Don't you miss 'em?) ^-^

  • Smoking? Showgirls? Drugged Beer?............Now this is Disney!

  • is it just me or does ratigan sound like ursulla O.O

  • @ 08:35-08:42 watch the vertical ribbon appear

  • O always wondered why they never made a love interest between her and basil.

  • 8:12

Snap! (mousetrap) Boom! (gun) Twang! (arrow) Thunk! (axe) Splat! (anvil)

  • lol the bat is singing! lol

  • I love the girl's scene, her voice is so awesome :D

  • @ChoccieTeddy but that doesn't mean it has to be dirty...not that this one was

  • @ChoccieTeddy Firstly, thank you for being fair and level headed in your comment, I really appreciate it. Secondly, I do know that many movies are like this, and I've seen movies like this in my childhood as well. It is still important for children to realize what things are bad... I just don't want movies to get too graphic, you know? I mean, sure it's a cartoon,

  • Ya know, kids today know so much more about intimacy drugs, violence and so much more WITHOUT disney movies. First of all, why would a parent LIE to their kids sayin that they didn't do this and acting like they're all gold when they know back in school or when they were younger, they did it? That's one thing I thank my mom for, she didn't lie to me. She explained it to me. And she even had the courtesy to say "I'll tell you when you're older." But kids know so much more then their parents know

  • @RougeKitty17 I may not be a parent yet, and everyone has their own method of how they want their kids, but the worst thing you can do is bite your tongue and say nothing. If you're scared, just say "I'll tell you when you get older" and if they ask when is that? Just say you'll let them know and leave it there. Besides when I was watching this, I was a kid, I was interested in the "Is he gonna get the bad guy" jazz. Action and the sense of adventure makes a kid happy.

  • @RougeKitty17 Also and this is the last bit, Why do you think DIsney made all their movies rated G? There is an option to let you kid watch or not, don't spoil it for the other kids... >.>

  • @zergmeisterstarcraft 1st, please don't cuss- it is a Disney movie after all. 2nd, just know, that I meant is that I wouldn't want my kids thinking that drinking and smoking and the like are good and wholesome things to do. Excuse me if I care for human life. But if you want to by all means, drink, "play", do whatever you want- just know whatever you do will have consequences, whether for better of for worse.

  • I think Ratigan might be gay. He's practically caressing Basil at 9:07.

  • @KateArduenna I disagree.

  • @Rkerekes13 Would it be rude of me to inquire why you disagree? I am rather curious.

  • @KateArduenna Because I usually speak against certain cartoon characters being gay, the only exception being Spongebob.

  • @Rkerekes13 I hate to barge into your conversation, but I have to ask, and I hate to be rude, but why is that?

  • @kaidablu I don't know.

  • @KateArduenna I agree. that's hot. lmao

  • i swear whoever did the voice of fidget must have a bad case of throat cancer XD

  • Basil should keep the mustache

  • for me, and i repeat, for ME fidget sings better than justin bieber

  • as a kid i couldn't choose whether to root for basil or ratigan. they were both awesome :)

  • @broadwaylady2744 The villains are always the best characters.

  • You have to love Vincent Price. :D

  • and then when Basil picked his up it was full again?

  • Did anyone else notice that when that waitress gave Basil and Dawson their beers all the foamy stuff had gone and the cups were practicaly empty?

  • must take some skill to play a piano where the keys arent comnnected to anything other than eachother :D

  • Yeah, this is a great kids movie- smoking, beer for mice and showgirls...yes, very appropriate!

  • @TheDisneyFan111

Nothing worse than kids see on TV nowadays. xP

  • @TheDisneyFan111 True, even though i'm sure All Dogs Go To Heaven and some classic cartoons all had these things...

    - Basil

  • @BasilTheDetective I don't really think All Dogs Go To Heaven and The Secret of Nimh were children's films.

  • @TheDisneyFan111 hey i grew up with this. lots of kids movies had these things in them. all dogs go to heaven had smoking, drinking, gambeling, and even went as far as killing and running from the mafia.

  • @TheDisneyFan111 Ahh another Politically correct person. There are a lot more bad things on TV and in movies Kids have a choice of what they want to do in life I did. I drink but dont smoke I gamble but im not addicted, this is NOT from disney films but from my own choice.

  • @seriousRaver

    Don't bring PC-ness into this.

DisneyFan's whining has nothing to do with repecting people.

  • @TheDisneyFan111 Aw comon Mice have needs too! :P

  • @TheDisneyFan111 it's actually pretty appropriate. they are showing it in a criminal enviroment(i.e. it's understood this the particular pub is for criminals only).

other than that... what is wrong with drinking? or drinking in a movie for that matter?

you shouldn't try to force your children into thinking like YOU want them to think. it's only in america where they have that sick ban-addiction(fuck you FCC and other like-minded undemocratic communists!!)

  • @TheDisneyFan111 Forgive me but...many many films are like this, as are many games, and some are a great deal worse! I watched this when i was 5 and as i grew up. This did me no harm, i knew these were things the bad guys did and thought Basil brave for being so dedicated to rescuing Olivia. As for the showgirls, i thought nothing more than 'Oh what a pretty mouse :) She sings nicely' If children see dirty things in this, it means they have been raised dirtily.

  • @TheDisneyFan111 i see nothing wrong with this all kids are exposed to this i grew up in the 90's and i was exposed to this yet most poepl turn out fine including me

  • @TheDisneyFan111

Well yeah but atleast it wasn't as bad as what kids watch today.

  • @TheDisneyFan111 I'm sure most children wouldn't know anything about showgirls, and some probably thought what the mice were drinking is root beer.

  • @TheDisneyFan111 beauty and the beast had drinking

  • @TheDisneyFan111 Animations are made for everyone, not just kids.

  • @TheDisneyFan111 welcome in the 90's

  • @TheDisneyFan111 You forgot a porn song, guns, a pub fight, knives, drugs...

  • @TheDisneyFan111 go home fcc, u already ruined superhero shows and disney for us

  • BAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR FFFFFFFFFFFIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

  • yay for albinos in movies :)

  • all together now: SCRAP! SCRAP! SCRAP! SCRAP! SCRAP! SCRAP!

  • why would you ever take dawson to a bar? best desicion you evermade.

  • lmao @ "have you been with us... long?"
