  • the first rainbow albun was a really mean thing ritchie blackmore did...the way he did...and in rainbow shows he did endless crapy solos...cause he realight"ze dio was becaming bigger than him...but you know the story of raibow lp by 75...ritchie "bought"the whole elf band just kicked out the guitarrist so he had no competition...and in the second albun rising...he fired all other members exept dio

  • @beroth77 I have no intention of starting another fight with you, but come on! "Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow" a "mean thing"?? First of all, for me that was a very good album - and they kept making them better, at least until Ronnie left. Now, as far as Elf are concerned, if they had a true relationship, they wouldn't break up with their guitarist. And Dio could have quit when Ritchie threw everyone out, but he went on without them. And Ritchie's solos are endless but they are by no means crappy!

  • best scorpions album.

  • This is a deep song. I will return to it again I'm sure when I need to *get with that feeling of grief*. And we all will do this in our lives....

  • this guys style reminds me of dio

  • @metal4massacre this guy? which guy, the vocalist? his name is Klaus Meine...get to know that name! it is crucial to all of music!

  • @metal4massacre he is one of the fathers of Metal, the great Klaus Meine, it's not "this guy"

  • @Georgios00 both you and satanicherpes need to calm down ..i know who he is. just b/c i refer to him as this guy ( thats a normal term to refer to a man) doesnt mean i dont know who he is.

  • @metal4massacre Dio was inspired by Klaus Meine, although they are both inimitable.

  • @PetrosTser ahhh this crap again.... get some research ,study.....they have no influence over each other...dio started to sing in the 50's man...i have both as my greatest vocals influences...

  • @beroth77 I agree that Dio started singing profesionally when Klaus was a child but RJD was into rock 'n' roll up until the early '70s when, with bands like Elf and mostly Rainbow, took up a harder approach. Scorpions were one of the bands that laid the foundations of HM during the same period which means that in the '80s they were constantly interacting with NWOBHM/ NWOAHM bands (like the Dio-fronted Sabbath and Dio the band). They influenced them and were influenced by them on many levels.

  • @beroth77 And, when you say "ahhh this crap again", it is obvious that I am not the only one to maintain that Meine and Dio are in the same musical family.

  • @PetrosTser ok cause their both short and sing high..the timber is totally diferent, klaus has the hability to change timbers like in lonesome crow you wouldnt reconize his voice ...or his face but is him.compare the clean vocals os fly to the rainbow with virgin killerdio never reach such a raspy agressive timber.but he had his growling stile that Klaus couldnt do i supouseand dio was way better Live performances then Klaus. No man they have not influenced each other at all

  • @beroth77 What do you mean you wouldn't recognize his face???? Anyway, have you heard "Gypsy" off Dio's debut album "Holy Diver"? This is raspy. Or the high-pitched introductions of Dio's "Invisible" and Sabbath's "Sign Of The Souther Cross"? This is clean.

  • @beroth77 And I don't think Dio was better live than Klaus. Klaus's stage presence is really explosive and as far as the vocals are concerned he takes bigger risks on stage than Dio who used to stick to what was on the recording. And of course Klaus has a bigger range - and I can imagine him tackling Dio songs with dexterity. Dio was GREAT - nay, he is GREAT - but Klaus is better. Yet they have similarities - as well as their own very strong and instantly recognisable vocal personas.

  • @PetrosTser Klaus was not a kid when dio stated singing LOL...dio was only 4 years older than KlausIf you hear elf or before...eletric elves...you'll see dio got his vocal stile mature, never change circa since 1970 the first Scorpions lp is from 72 and no one heard about in the beggining.Scorpions harmonies are way diferent from elf's...elf is honk tonk blues country...scorpions is based on harmonic minor harmonies the huge influence for melodic metal.why not comparne dio with Noddy why dio?

  • @beroth77 Dio was six years older than Klaus. Dio started singing in 1957 which means that Klaus was nine at the time. Dio was fifteen. Klaus started in 1965 when he was 17. Elf signaled for Dio the transmission from rock 'n' roll to hard rock and metal. The first Rainbow album was released in 1975, by which time Scorpions had already released their first two albums and one month later they released their third. When he joined Black Sabbath, the Scorps were one of the fastest rising bands around.

  • You mantain this misundertanding?realy sorry if i was too rude with you ... is not personal at all...but you really know the work of dio and klaus deeply?Dio already has the metal timber in elf only the songs were bluesy and by the wahy extremely good and beatifull songs elf did.look street walker, the end part pure metal vocals pay attention how is the same voice he used from 70 to all his career

  • @beroth77 Yes I do know the work of Klaus deeply and I can say that, as far as Dio-fronted Rainbow and Sabbath are concerned, I know the work of Dio deeply as well (that does not mean that I have no idea of what he did outside these two bands). They have many differences but also some similarities - I still think that they were inspired from one another. Yet, we clearly disagree here, so maybe we should just stop. I don't think this is going to lead anywhere.

  • @PetrosTser I agree about the unsolvable desagreement ok...we better stop just will send you the link with klaus on a song from lonesome crow 72 he looks older then now lol. watch?v=8nTGTCSGj30&feature=fvst totally diferent voice in all the albun's songs.Peace

  • @beroth77 i always tought like that. klaus is more complete..versatile.but the live shows are very important to me for judge a singer.and dio is much better than klaus when it comes to the most important moment... the show..but i really always will have a doubt between them...but is not a contest right...buut i saw halford shit his pants trying sing children of the sea...it sounded bad really and saw Tim ripper doing such a fiasco in gates of babylon...barely faded had to do a pathetic falseto

  • Responder a este vídeo... i mean this guys have very higuer range than dio but couldnt sing his songs...grahan bonnet is another...reaches a 1000 octaves but cant handle dio

  • @beroth77 He really is unrecognisable! And it's not only the beard: when you look at him side-face he does not resemble the non-bearded Klaus at all! Yet, he's eyes and nose are (of course) the same. I suppose that if I didn't know that was Klaus, it would take a lot of time (or the eternity) to realise it. Same goes for the "Lonesome Crow" album. Apart from some specific points, his voice (and also his pronunciation) is very different. Great vocals, though. And - needless to say - great album.

  • you are mistaken raspy with growling...but gypsy really dio did some raspy stile as he did in the elves in a song called the rape of ndrea ...something about 71.and there were lots of singers ith raspy voices at the time.Rod stuart,John fogerty(creedence),Dan mccafferty(nazareth)noddy holder (slade)this last wo are reaaaly scary.About not reconize klaus face i'll show you what i mean lol
