Looks like a case of invisible slimes (or not, sometimes they just glitch out). It's good news - this means the chuck you're in can spawn slimes! So I don't know if you've already started thinking about a name for the tower, but what about something like Slime Spike...? xD Haha, okay, that was pretty bad... Either way, the ladder trick works really well, I'll definitely be remembering that. The tower looks like it's going to be massive, but I guess you'll have enough cobblestone to work with xD

@MissQuade Yeah, I thought the slimes were invisible for the longest time. But then, I finally found the cave system that they were hiding in. Yes, the ladder trick is a very handy trick to travel up and down through deep water! The tower will indeed be massive! I have so much cobblestone now that it's not even funny, but I'll be putting it to good use! :)

I kind of disliked season 2 because the ideas weren't so good.

But u are back as I liked u best!

I play minecraft on a spacial way: where it was made for (thats what i think)

U really inspired me to play minecraft on the simple survival without hacking and stuff!

I will record and if u want u can see it on my channel it will be out in I think a couple of months because i'm buzzy with other stuff.

I probably don't need to add to the other 50 or so comments that it was a slime making the noise and u should make a slime farm :P

Also if you find that all the digging is destroying ur tools alot, something i forgot is that if you put 2 tools (same type of tool and made of the same material) in a crafting square, it will create one new one with full health :D so use ur tools until they're nearly broken, then craft them together!! :D

As many have already said, they are Slimes. That's going to present a problem... since they can spawn in any light level, and since you found a Slime chunk, you might end up with some slimes inside your tower. Since their maximum spawning altitude has been increased to Y40, anything at or above that is at Slime risk. Not to mention, though you probably figured this, those Slimes mean there's a cave that could cause annoyance during construction.

By the way, i recommend you make a monster farm and trap, collect lots of TNT, and blow up the approximate hole for the tower. It would be fun, quick, and time saving if you want to dig any other things up.

Slimes can spawn at any light level, only in a few chunks, from layers 0-16. Find the slime, mark where it was, and dig out a room to make a successful slime farm.

You can stack food now Jared! And slimes can spawn in the dark just light lets other aggresive mobs not spawn therefore increaing the chance of a slime spawning indirectly as it will be the only aggro mob thats able to spawn in that area :-) Good ep as always!

You are somewhere near a slime chunk. I know there are certain websites where you can find the exact coordinates of the chunks. Since chunks are 16x16 and your tower is too, one of the floors could maybe be a slime spawner/trap/xp farm. Great video it always brightens my day when I see a new jared3118 episode!

The first sound at the beginning was a teleporting enderman and the sound at the end was a slime. The silverfish only can be found in Strongholds.

That noise you heard were slime, theyre really rare, i usually use an xray texture pack to find where theyre hiding. To me its not cheating, its using a texture pack, but some people consider it cheating...

i like the dirt house! my first house ever was a wodden plank house!, i think it was 4x4 with no roof, and the first mob i ever encountered was a spider! it gets me choked up that a mod made me loose that world, it wasnt an amazing world but i learned alot their and i found my first wolf their, he died killing a creeper and they both fell into steep cave and all i heard was the explosion.
