  • thanks for share this entry

  • hey everybody ^^ i know this is outta the subject but I was hoping to find some help here anyway, I have a Win7 as OS and I tried previously to install a version of VMware that's not compatible with the Win7 :s so I got myself into a trouble now everytime I try to uninstall it automatically or manually it gave me the blue page ... so I was hoping if anyone could have a solution rather than Restauration or formatting don't hesitate ^^

    Thank You in advance

  • @MsSoukaa You should never download software if its not for your version of computer overwise this can happen. Maybe you should go to Add and Remove Software. I am not sure if this is on Windows 7. You could also try to delete the files by going into Program Files or wherever you installed it too and delete them manually. (MAKE SURE THE FILES ARE NOT IN USE)

That is all the help I can give.

  • the quick brown fox runs over the lazy dog!!!!!!!!!!! haha

  • If those are the applications you "use the most", you're hardely a power user or geek worthy of giving this kind of presentation. What I see for applications are almost total crap. Why don't you guys do something useful and for once finally keep icon positions getting fucked up on the desktop at random and moving about, as well as inside folders.

  • fck off all those that hate windows:))) The difference between windows and the other so praised OS is marketing. You losers that say shit about MS are just a bunch of envious people. With all your open-source blabla, free programs and stuff like that and you are not able to make those OS more popular... How come, losers?

  • @Iamthelaw1526 who started Doss??

  • @stephanrobberson

Actually, Tim Paterson started DOS a year or two before he became a Microsoft employee. Back then it was called M-DOS (not MS-DOS, that came later) and was the groundwork for the OS.

Don't listen to Iamthelaw1526. He tends to pull stupid comments out of this ass and call them fact.

  • @Iamthelaw1526 fck of

  • The problem Win 7 task bar is XP used to have task bar buttons with a title or descriptor of the window right on it. You didn't have to "peek" or select anything because you could see what the window was just by glancing at it without doing anything.

  • @wolfmotha77

As opposed to wasting your money buying a Mac with technically inferior 3 year old hardware? Please, son. You're talking to smart people here, not Mac-slaves. When Apple gets into the 21st century and stops offering first-gen DDR3 and cheap, pathetic $90 video cards......not to mention Blu-Ray drives, professional high end sound cards and six-core CPUs, then you'll have a good system.

Or do you REALLY think the $3799 price tag for the top-level Mac Pro isn't a total ripoff?

  • @TheUberDeity Jesus! $3799? Seriously?

  • @j0e2oo7

Yesssssirrreee. Just check Apple's website and check the specs on that slow-ass turd.

  • @TheUberDeity I would check the site if I could get onto it! In Chrome and IE it just stays as a blank page every time I click on the Mac section. Must just be the UK site if yours works okay. I'll check on it soon, if it works...

  • @wolfmotha77 windows!

  • @wolfmotha77 im on windows. im happier.

  • anyway to download aero peek?

  • i know how to take that messege that u have in the bottom right corner (it works) you wont have that massege in you computer properties eather

  • Yes,but if I open more than 10 files, you won't see any mini icon.

  • i accidently changed my settings to where i don't have aero peek showing up anymore, does anyone know how to fix this?

  • @mendothegreat

Download "FixWin v.1.1" go to Additional Fixes. should help.

  • @mendothegreat You can just right-click on the taskbar, go into the Start Menu & Taskbar settings and there should be a simple checkbox to enable and disable Aero Peek.

  • i love windows 7 i install and use all other windows and this one is the best keep making good thing Microsoft we love it

  • is that a home premium????

  • 1.get hypercam

    2.or cam studio....

    NORMAL CAM IS BEST

  • People steal ideas every day. Deal with it.

  • But what does it do?

    I have Windows already

what's the difference what can it do?

people play bad music while demonstrating Windows 7 they just click the same icons as I click.

    What does the DO!

  • Nothing more than what you can already do, a few tweaks here and there. but NOTHING worth going out and buying a copy. Sure if you buy a new computer and it comes with it you can keep it or go back to what your used to, but ultimately all microsoft has been offering is small upgrades, nothing worth their outrageous prices that they charge.

  • we can do more on PC...yo!!!

  • Pinning icons to the task bar predates the Dock. This option was in windows 1.01 like the video states. The current Mac Os got most of it's look from Kai Krause who Created Meta Creations and that whole translucent bubble look. aka KPT Power Tools back in the early 90's

  • look's nothing like it. lol.

  • Will everyone just drop this "Copying" crap, WHO CARES?!?!

Most of the features people say Windows 7 "Copied" are still good features that BOTH Operating Systems NEED.

  • doesn't matter they stole it and need to die

  • I Agree

  • they did copy another OS, Mac OS, apples been using high res icons for years.

  • windows aero= fail

    ubuntu compiz= super epic win

  • YEAH!!! *high five*

  • lol @ macinfail

  • While Linux might be the OS of choice for IT nuts and programmers, it doesn't change the fact that its limited in versatility and software support. Because of that, it's relegated to a respectable #2.

Leopard and Snow Leopard are DISTANT THIRD. The new Power Mac is a big, honking expensive PAPERWEIGHT that can't even crack 30 FPS in a Call of Duty 4 benchmark test! The 4-core Mac SLAUGHTERED the 8-core Mac in every test except Cinebench.

There's no denying the truth: Macs are utter garbage.

  • "The new Power Mac" since when was 4 years old new???

Also Macs are garbage is not the truth, its your small minded opinion

  • What are you TALKING about? Your first sentence made absolutely no sense!

As for "small-minded opinion," well hey, they only own 7% of the market share, so I hardly think my opinions are "small minded." Might want to look at the latest market share pie charts, kiddo!

  • The Power Mac has not been sold for 3 years!!! I say 4 years old because thats when the final revision was made.

Also Apple have a 10% market share

  • Since I didn't mention ANYTHING about 3 or 4 years, I fail to see what point you're trying to drive home. As for 10% market share......WOOOP DEE DOO!!

Maybe in another 60 years, they'll manage to reach 20%!

  • ok judging by your name "maximus Cereberus" which is latin for "great thoughts" then you must know that just because somthing is smaller than you such as mac percentage of the market doenst mean that windows is better. i mean lets think about it the united states is much smaller than russia but i would much rather live in the US. now to put it back into terms of computers. I use linux which is like not even 1% of the market but hey..i would not settle for anything less.. like windows or mac

  • Good point.

Unfortunately, Linux offers the least versatility, ease of use and "out-of-box" compatibility that Windows does. I have nothing against Linux, but the fact is unless you're using Ubuntu or Kubuntu, you need to have an extreme amount of patience to get the same all-around versatility that you'd get out of a Windows machine.

Same with Mac. Inconsistent software, poor compatibility, the need to rely on Bootcamp as a software crutch, and laughably counterproductive hardware.

  • U are so full of bullshit. Linux supports in incredible range of devices out of box without installing ANY drivers. I don't have to reboot my computer in linux just because I plugged in a USB mouse. I don't have to have a lot of patience. My 8 year old sister installed ubuntu linux and got it all working within 40mins on her netbook she got for christmas, and even installed a nice pink theme by herself. I guess she must be a super genius by your standards.

  • The only guy full of shit here is you.

Reboot your computer because you plugged in a USB Mouse? BULLSHIT.

Your 8 year old sister installed Ubuntu Linux and got it working in 40 minutes?

    BULLSHIT.

All you're doing is yanking things out of your ass in an attempt to sound smart, and failing absolutely MISERABLY.

Anybody who says they need to reboot a computer after plugging in a USB mouse is a complete and utter LIAR. You just got exposed, fucker.

  • Well then why the fuck did windows 7 prompt me to restart and the only thing i did was plugged in my new USB mouse?

Well I guess everyone in this planet isn't as stupid as you. Installing ubuntu is a cake walk. Sorry if you don't know how to click the next button a few times and wait. So sorry. Maybe you should take a reading class.

  • "Well I guess everyone in this planet isn't as stupid as you"

THIS coming from the guy who claims he had to reboot Windows 7 after plugging in a USB mouse???

    Here's the thing, jackass:

if you plug a USB mouse into a Windows 7 computer, it'll automatically install a stock driver that will run it just fine with absolutely NO need to reboot..........EVER. The only time you'd need to reboot is if you installed a specific driver that included special mouse software for gaming mouses.

    Idiot kid.

  • @mjm128

    You manage NOTHING.

And I NEVER picked on Linux. I've used it EXTENSIVELY. You know NOTHING about computers. When you slipstream your own custom OS, manage a company's internal LAN, and began programming software at age 8, THEN you can talk to me.

Again, ANYONE who claims to have necessitated a reboot after installing a USB mouse is a LIAR and a HACK just out to prove something.

You failed, TERRIBLY. Everyone reading these posts agrees with me, I GUARANTEE you.

    Suffer.

  • @mjm128

You're the one claiming to have needed to reboot your PC after plugging in (not installing, but PLUGGING IN) a USB Mouse.

Trust me......I'm LIGHT YEARS ahead of you on everything computer-related. To someone like you, it's like staring into the sun. Impossible. The light is just too bright.

Accept your place and suffer. You've been doing it for the last few days now.

yes, you HAVE. Because I said so.

  • After windows installed the driver too of course, but I guess you can't read that. Oh wells. You don't have to believe me, that's your prerogative. Just troubles me to see you make some outrageous claims about linux, like it having poor device support, and hard to use. Apparently since I'm such an idiot, and I can and do use linux, linux must be that much easier then? Oh wells, you have your opinions, I have mine. I won't waste anymore of your precious time that you could be making a new OS with

  • are u seriously trying to compare linux to windows 7?! listen carefully

    Windows 7> linux

    Windows 7>Mac

    but

    Linux > mac

Well mac technically is linux. But you get the point.

  • Next time you try to bullshit someone, be prepared for someone like ME to come along and make you look like a clown. That's my specialty. God couldn't do a better job of it.

  • i agree with Max. really stupid thing to say kid

  • Oh, and I'm VERY sorry to add insult to injury, but at the end of Q4 2008, Macintosh computer sales accounted for a measly, laughable, pathetic 3.4%, and that's straight from IDC's sales calculations and easily backed up.

The only reason Mac has 10% market share is because if iPods and iPhones. Macintosh computers do NOT make up the bulk of their sales, and they certainly don't even register as a minuscule competitor on the grand stage.

  • i can play modernwarfare2 on linux...and win7 is just too close to KDE desktop enviroment...

  • Secondly, if you want to punish yourself by running any version of Linux for any other reason than simple curiosity or a challenge, then that's your prerogative. Linux still needs to rely on Wine or another variant to handle games made for Windows. It's the same situation as Snow Leopard.....an OS that claims to be superior, but has to use emulation to compensate for a complete lack of software support.

Even Ubuntu and Kubuntu can be a pain in the ass out of the box, even for an expert.

  • @MaximusCerberus

Typical ignorant windows user. That isn't the OSes fault. Linux can play games perfectly fine. Games like Heroes of Newerth run great on linux. Is it the OSes fault for not making a program work with it, or is it the programmers. I'd say the latter if it could be easily have added support for the OS, which can.

  • Sorry, but the key word here is "limited." Linux and Leopard are both associated with it. Sure there are games that run under Linux.

    A handful at best.

Try getting Half Life 2 to run on Linux or a variant. It's not easy. In some cases, it's impossible. WINE isn't perfect, or fully compatible by ANY stretch of the imagination.

Thinking otherwise is.....in a word, foolish.

  • You want to put blame on someone for that? Put it on microsoft for not releasing direct x, or put it on the developers of Half Life 2 for not using a cross platform graphics library. And WINE is amazing. I actually use it quite a bit since I can actually get BETTER performance on some applications under wine on linux than natively on windows. A few games, and also a video converter that I use have higher benchmarks. Granted that some work worse, or not at all.

  • Windows 7 is the most versatile, compatible, secure operating system around right now. I'll let the Mac fanboys laugh all they want. Their OS got hacked FIRST, two years in a row by hackers at the Pwn2Own contest. 2009's hack by Charlie Miller took less than TEN SECONDS!

Let's not get into stuff like Win7's Direct X 10 + 11 support, the fact that it's compatible with literally EVERY version of Windows since 95, has the best software lineup, the largest game support, etc.

    Face the reality.

  • "We stole from ourselves"? Heh. Windows 7 is uncomfortably similar to Mac. I had to customize it to no end to make it feel sort of like XP/Vista. Small Icons look nicer, grouping icons is uncomfortable for those who open more than 10 windows of 10 different programs at the same time (researchers for example), and there is no way I can live without the quicklaunch (to open up another 10 windows of whatever).

Anyway, Windows 7 is not a rip of Windows 1.0.

  • Microsoft is windows and apple uses a crappy dock. Ur sad.

  • i can play games with my pc

  • well, aero peek is nice, but it looks slow and complicated. OS X has a much easier and elegant way of doing this, expose, which by the way was included in the os like 5 years ago. really, is this aero peek feature all that great? it doesn't even compete with snow leopard's expose! not a fan boy, just annoyed at how SLOOOOOOW microsoft is to catch up with the game.

  • You are a fan boy and a duche... If you are ok with paying $3000 for a crappy computer with a beefy version of unix on it, they hooray for you, but since I actually know how to use a computer, Id rather have a fully functional Operating system that I can use to switch back and forth from my Debian System with. BTW, I can make my Debian partition OS look exactly like Mac OSX with more functionality for free..

  • my computer was $1100, and debian is not OSX no matter how it looks. OS X is fully functional, and i do use bootcamp and parallels to boot windows. i can ALSO put linux on there if i like. it doesnt matter what you say, i still know i made the right choice with a mac. please quit bashing others because they didnt choose the same os as you. i will never go back to windows as a primary, and its not becuase im "dumb." just because windows is hard to use doesnt mean you're smart if you use it.

  • also, i was not trying to star ta flame war, like you seem to have been doing with all these other people.

  • LOOKS TITS!!! wonderful UI

  • Is it possible to get this on Ubuntu with compiz or something? I like this.

  • i just love linux, simple to use and reliability, besides of a very maleable OS

  • UBUNTU! GO UBUNTU!

  • This new OS kicks Apple's behind any day.

  • You call Vista with a 'new' taskbar a new OS?

  • lmfao, if you have actually try 7, it runs MUCH MUCH faster. Its a very noticeable difference. So go fuck yourself.

  • yeah it's faster...now install 3 or 4 new games and office...

  • @superapecross

I have 15 games + installed, all brand new games.

    Works fine.

  • Comment removed

  • good luck, windows users - after 10 years maybe microsoft will be copied enough features to compete with Mac OS X, but now.. sorry, but NO. Windows users may think that W7 is innovative, but Mac or Linux users have these "new" functions for years. Shame M$, shame.

  • Linux is for people who KNOW computers.

Mac OS X only comes on macs, and they are expensive as hell.

  • No, not true.

On the Ubuntu-NL site, there are a couple of people with fathers, mothers, etc., their first PC's have Ubuntu, and they don't even know computers.

As soon as they have to work on Windows PC's, they just don't understand that.

And same for Windows users on Linux.

  • most Americans are half retarded.

and i didnt mean everyone has to be a computer wiz, just majority of the people that know computers prefer linux.

  • Not here in The Netherlands.

If it was in every country like that, Linux could have a market share of like 24%, instead of 1%.

And Firefox had like 72%, instead of 26%.

  • fucking OK, i do not give a fucking shit.

  • Comment removed

  • You attack people you don't even know and fuck up English grammar on top of it? That's what is retarded. How hard is to spell "computer whiz"? You're just another typical dumb, arrogant foreigner spewing the same ole sayings of every other moronic foreigner watching too much television. Linux is good but we aren't all OS programmers tune into reality. You'd be right about windows 7 being a much better choice then OS X though.

  • Linux doesn't require programmers.

Well, Arch Linux, Damn Small Linux, Debian and such do, but distro's like Ubuntu, OpenSUSE, Fedora, Linux Mint not.

  • I was on Fedora in school. If I wanted to get my Network card to work I would need to write the drivers for it myself. I love linux don't get me wrong. But man it's really for the guru's that can write the drivers for the hardware etc. I don't necessarily mean like applications so much.

  • That probably means that you've got an old version, or the latest Network card.

  • No actually, All of them require some Knowledge of the shell bash Language to use fluently, yes you can use Ubuntu with KDE with out ever opening a console but you'd be an idiot. Debian is the best distro and windows is the best companion to said distro.

  • I'm using Ubuntu in Gnome and KDE.

Just think before you would like to sound dumb to anyone.

  • That is why tons of mac users use boot camp, so they can play games and use windows applications.

So.... if mac had all these wonderful features....

  • windows 7 fastest than xp..

  • Well FFS, what was the number one feature request?

  • I know, right?

  • that's gorgeous windows is going to be something different now this is going to change how people see windows no longer as a cheap OS but a full, fun, and functional OS

  • is this a lecture on a school or something??

  • windows once again is trying something that we've been in other operating system for a while they need focus on the software quality. once again microsoft is look to al it's users like stupids bastards who think (ok this is nice because it looks pretty). you should compiz and KDE desktop running on freebsd or gnu/linux. free software and high quality is what the free software is.

  • Comment removed

  • I really don't like that taskbar. You can't tell if something is actually open or not just by looking at it (at least I couldn't without alt+tabbing).

  • You can disable it

  • I can.

  • actually u can, at around 3:48 u can see that internet explorer looks more highlighted than other windows, which means its open and in front of other windows. also, at 5:20, u can see that windows media player is more highlighted than the rest, but the programs that are up still have a little "highlight" on the top left of the icon. plus, there's also a box surrounding all the programs that are up. so there u go [:

  • Sure you can. It is shaded differently. I would like to see all open icons move over to the right or something though. I have many launchers and once I open more than a few windows I end up having to scroll the bar up and down.

  • this rocks! Windows is back!!

  • how ugly windows 7 is..

  • fuck off, more like how sexy is it

  • you're not a minimalists you're just a 14 year old nub,

  • Glad to see Microsoft bringing innovation to their OS for once

  • is it possible to have windows vista looking like this?

and the thumbnail thing is it also possible to do it on vista?through a program theme or whatever?

  • Windows 7...ftw

  • The main reason why I hated a Mac was the fact that it used a dock, not a taskbar. Now Windows switched over to the exact thing I hate?

Fuck it, I'm staying with XP forever. Unless of course, they have an option to turn the XP taskbar back on.

  • theres an option like that on windows seven, b cool

  • fuck, Windows 7 is the bomb!!

  • FYI, they do.

  • You must be a devoted fan;

I can tell by the way you spell it.

  • You can't spell Leopard you retard.

  • It's about choice

  • then you keep being on drugs and not being able to play games for windows games jerk

  • thats why i have an xbox 360 :)

  • its out on the 22 of october!!!!!

cant wait to download it xD

    pahahaha

    FUCK YOU M$

  • Windows 7 still has a large security hole in it - looks like they didn't fix it either.

  • I have windows 7 AND IT FUCKING KICK ASS!!!!!!!!!!

  • wooot
