That was not a landing.  I never touched down. That was about 120 knots 6 inches above the runway.

That pretty much screws us fatboys! I'm 240 and if I took anyone with me we would probably be real close to the edge of the envelope. I walk past the Katana's on our flight line everyday and keep right on walking to the 172's. :-( Maybe I can talk a skinny student into training in the Katana!

You could fly it with baggage. Same as i could but that would be it :/ I'm learning how to fly myself. But my fiance is helping me lose weight so when I get my PPL I can fly stuff like this and take her along.

@skyviper1973 Dude, I was 240lbs when I took primary flight instruction in a DA20. With 20 gallons of fuel that still leaves room for a standard flight instructor. You are not taking any baggage with you but its still easily done.

@jangell The DA20 I flew had a useable of a little over 500lbs. You must have more equipment in yours.

I just switched from a C172 to the DA20C1. Seriously a great plane to fly! 1722 pounds of pure joy!I wish I had access to this plane years ago!Nice video!

@abphoto907 Yeah but its a little annoying, it goes off way before you stall. This airplane doesnt really stall so much as it just mushes along nose high losing altitude. You can make it stall if you snap it up but you have to sty real hard to get a clean break.
