  • Brian Jonhson está demais nesta música!

  • Esta é a melhor versão desta música. Melhor até do que a versão de The Animals.

  • Usually covers are not better than the original, but this definitely an exception.

  • The whole album is amazing and this song in particular!

  • my grandfather tought me how to play this on my guitar

  • Wow - cool

  • holy shit is that Brian fuckin Johsnon!?!?!

  • HOLY SH#*! I always said why has AC-DC never done a remake of the Animals House of the Rising Sun? Brian did before AC-DC!

  • Holy crap! My parents named me Geordie and I love AC/DC. How cool is that?

  • @geordieandr lol man your awsome!

  • yes,you get very sweaty in photographs,

  • its ok but its no 'wor geordie's lost his liggy, he has a hat on in this photo was he bauldy then?

  • @steveavison no. He wears hats to prevent sweat running off his hair into his eyes.

  • its ok but its no 'wor geordie's lost his liggy,

  • very good

  • HAIL TO THE KING BABY

  • the best version

  • HOLY SHIT IT! ITS THE FIRST TIME HEARING BRIAN WITHOUT HIS RASPY VOICE. HOLY SHIT! AT FIRST I DIDN'T BELIEVE IT WAS HIM.. but at like after 2 mins i knew it was him.

  • what a great song. The range of his vocals is immense. But then you,ve got to take in consideration that he was also very young. Great song.

  • could only tell it was brian johnson at 2.04,fantastic!!

  • Это мои песни, это моя молодость, супер!

  • This song has been claimed, stolen, passed along, & rewritten so many times its phenomenal, and this version is ok, they did a great job at it, but the version by the Animals will always be my all time favorite.

  • This is way better than the original. I also listened to the muse version which is SHIT. Brian Johnson simply rocks he sings amazingly powerful no matter what anyone says. this song proves it

  • Damn god song!

  • музон на все времена

  • Holy shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had no idea Brian could sing so cleanly and softly and then go to straight out insanity!!! Definately one of the most underrated singers of all time.

  • AC/DC should cover this

  • Wonderful!

  • так уж вышло, что первый раз House of the rising sun услышал именно в исполнении Geordie, спс

  • GURAN! för helvete eat your heart out!

  • КРУТО !!!!!!!

  • o si

  • feel the power!!!!

  • denne her udgave af The House of The rising Sun er for fed

  • this is by far my favourite version of this song, and i think it just has to be my favourite song ever, its timeless

  • Love it love it love it!! So much testosterone, so much of that 70's sound, electric guitar, and help screaming "take me from here" with him

  • Best versior ever of this song.

  • I love! Love! Love! This version. My daddy used to sing this version to me when I was little. I love it. :)

  • Like the song the "Sloop John B" (Beach Boys), House of the Rising Sun is also a 19th century song, with its European roots to the 18th Century. So much for modern rock, lol.

  • I think that Brian SOMETIMES have to sing with clean vocals in AC/DC. He is wasting some of his vocal gift!

  • @majmusicblvd0913 this was before AC/DC dumb shit. he was in his prime here. if you have no respect for brian, you have no respect for Bon or AC/DC.

  • This is better than the Original!!!

  • Go Brian !

  • I remmember this song! Thanks!

  • It's a song by the Animals! Is it too hard to wikipedia it!

  • @Watzitoya no its not..... they didnt write it and they wernt the fist to record it

  • @acdcgnr100 who wrote this song originally? so far the farthest date back was the animals

  • @facebook123123 they dont know who wrote it and the first real recording was in 1933 by Clarence "Tom" Ashley and Gwen Foste

  • @facebook123123

No; actually, this song is a traditional song from New Orleans. The Animals covered it. They were the first Rock &Roll band to cover it, I think, but it was not their song. Joan Baez, has also a nice cover of the song, but I don't know if is before or after the Animals' one.

By the way, Bryan Johnson's voice with Geordie is unbelievable!

  • Yeah I hear a little of Plant in Brian's voice. I really like this cover!

  • This is a folk song, which means hehe, actually noone wrote it, wikipedia states it come to America far from 16th century and was "adapted"... So, in fact there is no original available you see=)

  • is saints are coming a remake of this

  • is this a question?

  • First time I ever heard Brian Johnson sing without rasp! Great cover of a great song.

  • Fantastic song from a much underrated album, that contains so many good songs!

  • I do think that this is the best version of "House Of The Rising Sun". Just fantastic.

When Brian screams at 2:02 you get the AC/DC feeling, no doubt. Great version, love it!

  • This made me think Brian was somewhere between John Fogherty and Robert Plant.

  • god you're right he does sound a lot like plant here

  • Then again Robert sounds like a couple of people, anyway.

  • they do it the best in my opinion. i love when brian kicks in with his vocals. i love this song.

  • Joan Baez made it popular even before the Animals. Probably someone else before. Personally, I like Geordie's. Some think BTO is the best. I disagree.

  • No ones even sure who wrote it. The earliest anyone has got is Leadbelly.

  • Generally concidered that the couple Georgia Turner and Bert Martin from Kentucky wrote it, But, who knows :)

  • @flashchrome I didn't know anybody knew. How did you know?

  • Funny. Under every "House of the rising sun" song on Youtube there is a senseless discussion about originality of this song. :)

  • lolz i know

  • Wow! This is better than I thought it would be, even better than the animals version (they didn't write the song but they made it popular (I think, if not don't falme me, just correct me(Brackets within brackets!))).

    cuttlefish blrghrlrghrgajhdjealkh

  • Brian Johnson Singing this song and He left this band and Joined AC/DC in 1980 to present

  • did this group the real singers of this song

  • No, the original author is unknown. The song's real old. Geordie does an awesome job, though.

  • @Serekun yeah thay are really good

  • This one of the best covers of this song I've ever heard. Maybe this is the best version, better than the original.

  • Shit !

    Go Brian! Amazing Song!

  • The best performance of all that I heard.

  • the song started in council estates in new orleans as a blues song and it worked its way round to bands and thats how its become so popular

  • this is my favorite version of this song

  • I've just wanted to write the same thing. One of The Best this song covers.

  • impresionante!!!

  • some of the beginning doesnt really sound like brian

  • Indeed.

  • no, because its sang by Vic Malcolm, the guitarist.

  • fuck ace

  • It's a folk ballad, nobody knows who composed it

  • second that

  • You havent got a clue about what youre talking about and you know NOTHING of history.

  • false.... u cant know dumbass ... thats why this song so popular ... That's an Unknown song ..

U can only know , that's the House of the rising sun ... made by who first ? no ...

  • fucking great

  • Was Brian the singer in the band when this song was written?

  • Brian is indeed singing in this recording

  • When it was recorded yes. This song is a cover though of The Animals.

  • I think there is a re- release of this produced by Roberto Danova.

  • best versoin of this song i have ever heard AC/DC FOREVER AND YES GEORIDE ROCKS

  • O shit, I haven't heard this in million and one yrs. Thanks for posting this.

  • Great stuff ! I still have two of their albums from when I was a punk kid.Strange Man & Brian Johnson with Geordie.

  • Simply the best !

  • lol souds great

  • Great!!!!

  • who knew brian had a voice like that hidden beneath the screaming?

  • geordie rules!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOVELY!!!

  • hahaha this is fucking great.... I've never heard Brian Johnson singing like this... great cover...

Geordie was a great band, not as great as AC/DC, but still pretty bad ass

  • jord (as in jordan) y (as in happy)

  • Eric Burdon & The Animals is the best version if you ask me.

  • Nothing is better than the Shan Mullins kfog vesion of this song. forget it,,. I don``t give a crap about your comment,,,. face it

  • nice version ^^

  • Hell yeah!!! Brian is awesome!!!

  • Nice man this version is better then the real one anyway chak out my top ten guitar riffs =)

  • no one can top the animals when it comes to this song not pink Floyd not muse or these guys or anyone else

  • Bob Dylan can and did...

  • I prefer this Brian Johnson than Bon Scott.

  • definately the best version of this song

  • dimitim3000: Are u kidding("defanitley[sic] the best version")??!!! NOT! The *best* & 1st version was definitely by "Frijid Pink " followed by "The Animals" in 1964! Please search the history of this iconic song before you comment!

  • their versions are good but they cant match brians voice

  • dimtim3000: Okay, I'll give you that Brian's voice tops Beaudry's - but this recording comes off as too *soft* where Frijid Pink's

sound is raw & rocks esp. w/ Richard Stever's artistry on the drums!

  • Is this My main man Brian Johnson from the best band in the world AC/DC!!!!!!

  • MiniMousePoo2: While I can appreciate AC/DC along with u - they can *never* equal "Frijid Pink"'s original version!

Try searching the original version of

"The House of The Rising Sun" b/4 u comment!

  • I'm saying AC/DC are the best in the world not these guys

  • Now you know where Brian Johnson and his brother Vic started out.

  • well yeah undeniably AC/DC is better

but these guys are good too i'm gonna try and find some of their CD's

  • 2:04

  • This is definatly Brian. There is no way one of the best bands in rock n roll history gonna take a front man thats gonna butcher a song like this by screaming his ass off. Too bad Brian wasn't 35 years younger, he would have given alot of these younger singers like Chris Cornell a run for his money. Even if he would have been with a more popular band being in the time period he remains in, he would have given Robert Plant, and Bob Seger a challenge as well.

  • no not robert plant hes just......amazing

  • 3:24

  • Fuck i love this song XD

  • i'm not convinced this is Brain JOhnson.

    "where's the screaming voice"

  • i bet that you didnt hear all the song

  • What :O Is this realy brian :P

  • I am not convinced that is brain singing.

    Where's the screaching???

  • Okayyy...

    :P

  • this is brian's normal singing voice. you don' t screech through your teeth if you sing naturally. bon, for example, sang like he spoke the words like in gone shooting, dirty deeds and in others. Brian really didn't have the ability bon had, but here, brian shines. I don't like Brian's voice w/ new ACDC- old ACDC is better with more old school feel and bluesy singing. I know people agree and disagree but it's true.

  • Everybody says that Bon was a genius. But Brian is a genius too.

  • Such a powerful song

  • This is Brian singing?!

  • looks like its him in the middle, but yes he was in this band before ac/dc.

  • Oh I love the way he sings it.

  • I'm not entirely sure if this is Brian or not in the beggining, but it definately sounds like it's him when the vocals get loud. Brian was such an amazing singer back then that it's hard to recognize his voice because it was so great. At about 1:00, it sounds more like him.

  • i agree

  • Brian starts at 0:53.

  • @SoloDallasII nO; NO;NO,no, no. Romeo sings the whole song.

  • I had always wondered why the Young brothers were impartial to this man...I had always thought "ah...nothing special here" when listening to Geordie songs. But then I heard this...and it all made sense. Brian, you are by far one of the greatest rock singers of all time. This song alone shows me why he go the AC/DC gig. Now if only AC/DC could have performed this one in the early 80's...wow.

  • Brians voice was breathtaking back then. Better than in Back in Black

  • The House of the Rising Sun

    Eternal Song! ! !

  • Goosebumps!!!!!!!!

  • once again, Brian proves he is the man!

  • good old geordie brian johnson is! :) from my home city :) Newcastle

  • legend he is :) love him in AC/DC!!

  • didnt know tht Brian could sing like this

  • Amazing , huh?

I think he was the only one who could become the leadsinger of AC/DC...

  • isn't that brian johnson of acdc singing

  • This is a very good version of a great song. I recognise Brian, of course, and as I remember the drummer is the bloke with the 'tache, but which one was Vic Malcolm, the guitarist?

  • Bottom is Brian Johnson, Vocals

    Left is Vic Malcolm, Guitar

    Top is Brian Gibson,Drums

    Right is Tom Hill, Bass

  • Thanks for the info.

  • the best version!!!

    Моя любимая песня

    I love this song

  • fitted a windscreen in a car with his buddy, the next day auditions for AC/DC and then goes on to make an album that sells 50 million copies...thats rock n roll...and Brian ROCKS....!

  • Wow!

  • Whaha Brian!

    ;)
