Guitar players this good become household names. I feel so privileged to have fallen in love with organ music. Just today I was sent a video from Alan Haven himself. Last night I was made aware the Former Baseball pitcher ' 31 win Denny McClain' was still playing his Hammond organ after I put my foot in my mouth by calling him an Amateur organist. Careful thinking who is still with us. Oops. Now I'm blown away by the abilities of Brian Sharp from this video at 4:30. That Kawai has A1 tibias!
@paulj0557 Indeed. Pity with regard to the fast, monotomous overbearing drums. (Is that a real drummer, as I see a drumset in the video? I hope not...) The organ has a mighty sound as far as I can hear on this video. I think I should look a but further than the most well known names in organ history only. That guy can play some stuff...
@SilverHammond Actually the real drummer was an after thought. They were having trouble with the automated drum section on the organ before the performance so instead of cancelling the son, or student of one of the people involved stepped up and played. Not bad considering few if any rehearsals. I just got a Hammond Elegante in perfect working order and excellent physical condition for $150 US here in Columbus OH. How would a 720 & 2 540's sound on it? I have the opportunity to buy for $200.

Sorry, I don't know. I never heard the Elegante from the 1980's live, and I don't know those Leslie models. The Elegante does require a multichannel speaker, if I remember correctly, because it has other voices alongside the drawbars.
Great organ playing! I think sounds better than a Hammond! I always wanted to play on a Kawai T-5 organ! I saw one many years ago and it looked so sharp!

I worked with Brian Sharp and Kelvin Barnes on the drums at Stuarts & Lloyds way back in the early 70's and he was my hero.....a friggin genius!

I saw him a couple of times in the 80's. GEC Coventry was one performance. This brings back memories.
