  • That... looks... amazing!!! I needa hurry my ass up and go to Japan.

  • Hey, what restaurant were you at?

  • @funtoo2 Can't remember the name, it's in the Tenjin underground mall.

  • oishisou!

  • Oh wow that looks really good <3 looks like alotta food

  • ohhh japanese food looks so delicious ! envious that you get to eat it! :'(

  • Personally I thought it was nasty, >/////<.

  • That looks delicious! I wish Japanese restaurants here in the US were half as good (and reasonably priced!) as those in Japan. Buckwheat (Soba) noodles must not be popular with Americans because whenever I order it here, I get Angel Hair and believe me, I know the difference! haha. Glad you're eating well, Richard! Love the websites btw. :)

  • That looks very tasty. I am sure there is a story behind the roof tile idea.

  • I can't decide which is more awesome, the meal or the fact that it's served on a roof tile. Either way, Epic Win.

  • hmm looks interesting, maybe ill try it, if i can somehow get to japan... XD

  • @ArtaCrossingRainbows Sorry. Yeah, you can usually ask for a knife or fork.

  • These videos are awsome, It gives my mom new ideas on what to cook lol. Thanks for posting these and keep up the work!!

  • I wonder how long it took for you to speak pretty fluently in japanese :D

  • @ymeza2121 It's all in my free book at Genki Japan . Net!

  • Looks yummy ~

Is the noodle made out of some type of vegetable or is it just colored green?

  • @MochiNyoki It's buckwheat, these ones are flavoured with green tea!

  • Would a typical Japanese family have this for lunch/dinner? I've just found out I'm going to Japan in 2 weeks (yay!) to stay with a family over there and I don't know what to expect food-wise.

  • @Jaspercat91 This particular dish you wouldn't have that often, but a lot of Japanese food is quite similar yeah.

  • @Jaspercat91 lucky, i wish i had family in Japan lol

  • I love these videos!

  • This made me hungry for noodles... D:

I love your videos! Makes me get somewhat of a taste of what's really in Japan.

I hope to travel there one day. ^^

  • dude ur so lucky you get to go places im always stuck at homw and working

  • @nhanxzero I'm still working!

  • May I ask - In Japan, in restaurants or whatever eating places - do they give out forks/knifes too, so you can choose to eat with them or chopsticks? Or they give only chopsticks and they have no forks? :D

  • @ArtaCrossingRainbows Western style restaurants do have knives & forks and in Japanese style ones you could ask for them. But then again what would you think if someone asked for chopsticks in a US McDonalds???

  • Another good looking meal!

  • Another good looking meal!

  • very interesting dish!

  • Looks really nice! :D

  • I feel so hungry now.

  • @Theytoldmetodoit1 hahaha exactly !!

  • The quality was pretty good in spite of only having your phone. So I think we would love to see more food vids even if you only have your phone with you. I especially enjoy the vids where you have shops. The displays are so pretty and everything is so interesting. I think about where I buy my own food... not that pretty.

  • wow, richard do people eat like that everyday in japan, or is that meal somewhate niche?

  • @Anwarboy786 It's not that posh, just a normal shopping arcade restaurant, about $9

  • mmmmmmm

  • do the Japanese eat the shrimp whole with the shell or do you take it out by yourself?

  • @sonicnblaze33 You take it out! :)

  • ソバ最高!!!

  • Great... Now I'm HUNGRY! :P

  • man, you have the coolest japanese videos ever!!!

  • Love your food vids. Even more than sightseeing!

    Keep it up!

  • Oishii! I once had rice with chestnuts and sesame seeds in Japan. The chestnuts are a bit different that what we're used to here in the U.S., but they were still really good.

  • After watching this, I feel like making some ramen. xD
