  • This seems out of place without drunk Germans.

  • this song makes me laugh because i always remember the germans drunk off their ass when they sung this

  • Pub song

  • "Ja, das Lied kenn ich auch!" =D

  • There a hunter saw the bird.

Aimed his gun with nary a word.

Shot her down from out of the sky!

And the boy began to cry.

He returned where he'd been found.

Laid his friend ithin the ground.

Since he made that noble choice,

he was blessed with with a fine singing voice!

From within, came to him, the Nightingale's voice

  • is this our poem about the song or something?

  • @xwingdude95 its the lyrics to the song lol

  • @Doogleburg08 i didnt hear those words :P

  • @xwingdude95 Listen closely lol. I had a hard time at first.

  • Once there was a Nightingale, with no voice at all to hail. Other birds would laugh and sing, while she cried behind her wing. One sad day she flew away, to the woods alone to stay. Lost there was a little boy. Seeing him home again would bring her joy! Silently gliding she led from above the trees. He followed her with ease. To the forest edge. Part 2: in comment reply!
  • many people think the nazis where always killing and torturing but they had a very tight bond with each other and this song proves the brotherhood of the S.S soldiers

  • they would often gather and sing this song together

  • Once there was a nightingsle, with no voice to sorrow to him and i lost it after that.... :(

  • Shows another side to those evil nazi soldiers.

  • I think this is sung by the Germans in Dutch because a German dude couldn't even understand what they were saying... maybe that was because they were drunk though.

  • hahahah we germans are good drinkers tho hahaha!

  • uh hello we make the best beer

  • It Aint dutch. It starts off in english, but what the language soon after that is, i don't know

  • Its all English

  • this is all in english. in my opinion the german version is better. XD

  • the germans did sing this on a mission

  • I know, what I DON'T know is what language they were singing. However, it was most likely Drunkish, the common "nonsense language" of the typical drunk man, invented by the Irish.

  • They are speaking English...listen closely.

  • ah, this is the song sung by the drunk germans in the pub, but in German

  • Is this song originally german

i'm Dutch so my German is pretty good.

    It's actualy the english version.

  • @matsui90 yes it is actually, its beautiful in both languages isnt it?

  • It is, except here they're not drunk. It's the same tune and lyrics, just translated. You get both versions on the soundtrack.

  • jep...

  • @R4cc00n Lol weren't they drunk or something?

  • @R4cc00n Yes, this is the song they sang in the Golden Lion, only translated in English and much more beautiful.
