  • It sounds the same because they used a live recording for the album. I guess it was this one, which is probably why EMI put it on their channel.

  • @Chocobopsu if ya think that,y do u watch it?

  • what's the meaning of iron lung anyway?

  • The song is about the success of "Pablo Honey". To be more specific, it's about the amazing success of "Creep". Iron Lung talks about how "Creep" was the only thing that really kept them above the water since their sound was extremely experimental and wasn't widely revered to be good music. But, "Creep" was a hit even though it sounded nothing like the rest of RH's music. Thom is known to hate the song because it doesn't really reflect the band yet it's their first real hit.

  • well..thanks bro

  • This isn't live. If you pay attention and know the band, its not even convincing.

  • You are only 20% correct.

The only thing that is not live in this recording is Thom's vocals

  • You sure about that?

It matches up perfectly with the album.

I think if anything was live it would be Johnny's guitar track (which wouldn't really make sense) but I think I heard him mess up once or twice.

  • Look up "my iron lung astoria", watch the performance that comes up (Live At The Astoria), and you will see that every instrument recorded is the take used for the studio release of "My Iron Lung". The only thing they did not use from this performance was Thom's vocals, which they rerecorded.
