@harb00ur -- thought about it? Yes. Decided against it honestly because it's to overdone. There are hundreds if not thousands of schism covers on here. I like to do the least done material sometimes, like with "the grudge". You don't see a lot of those on here, so I went for it and it was super challenging to learn
Beautiful job, you have a nice fluidity to your playing that only most high-level musicians have. Every time i play electronic drums, they don't respond to me like acoustic drums, especially ghost notes on the snare.
@cliffmusic29 --- thanks dude, i really appreciate it, check out the cover of BOTTOM, thats the first cover i did with superior drummer and pro tool,s first drum mix i have ever done, haha, learning the ropes, pro tools is an intimidating program when you are trying to learn it on the fly. bottom was the first final product i ever got out of it
Nice playing man! I am familiar with the level of difficulty when it comes to playing tool. I find that if you pair your hands during the tribal beats it increases the depth and power of the drums. The trouble with that is being able to compensate with your weak hand. Danny's technique is very hard to reproduce and it is an on going battle to move your hands and feet the way that he does. Good job ( even for a guy with an electronic kit ) hahaha.
@pnotes1 -- thank you very much i appreciate it - haha as far as the electronic kit thing goes, trust me, i miss my acoustic kit, but now i can play at like 3am and not piss everyone off. not to mention, that i recently picked up pro tools and superior drummer 2.0 - so im getting closer to acoustic kit sound than i would have ever thought i could. and learning how to mix drum tracks in the mean time as well :) - check out my cover of BOTTOM - uses SD 2.0
@melvings ---- hmmmmmm, the patient, lemme give it some listening time, and ill get to work on it, thanks for the positive feedback, i really appreciate it. check out some of my other tool covers (ie, parabola, hooker with a penis, prison sex, undertow (not my best)) - lemme know what ya think
@Metal4Life55j --- just listened to it a bunch, ive always really dug that song, so i kinda just went "hey fuck it i might as well learn to play it also" - haha, that was pretty much the jist of it
@Zildjian232 -- some country drumming has some pretty awesome snare drum work in it, and most of those guys are like human metronomes live - the only thing i dont respect, is a lot of those artists dont write their own music, or lyrics, anyone could be a singer for hire, so to speak, if you had a decent voice. what really matters is the writing side of the card -- rappers write their own lyrics, but i would much rather see them performing with a live band, instead of drum machines
what is the time signature of this song?
