Many bands where influenced by Hanoi rocks .
Hanoi rocks was on the edge to really become big but they simply broke up because of the backlashes they had.
Then came guns n roses a glam band from la whos biggest heroes where hanoi rocks.
Guns n roses stole the looks of hanoi rocks and made great music on their own.
Thats why hanoi didnt got big .. they broke up.

@oogie11 -Never thought of the Japan conneciton before,The combined cheekbones of Mike Monroe and David Sylvian would make a girls or boys head spin back in the day......saw them in Stoke in 84 just before they went to America and Razzle got killed ,they really took the roof off the place.Andy is a very underrated musician

@GrantStoke Yeah, I just can see the David Sylvian link somehow..I mean, Japan were similar to Hanoi Rocks during the mid-70s. However, they sure changed and became more like Roxy Music in the late-70s, so a pretty different shift in terms of sound.
