  • I'm happy for you. I'm just looking around for Catholic conversion stories because they are all so amazing. Your reason for conversion is just as solid as many others'.

  • @AsianHarryPotter 5:22 to 6:15 Historical evidence.

  • DDias, congratulations, been there done, that, have you been to the Traditional Tridentine Mass? God bless.

  • I'm Catholic (converted about 2 years ago), used to be atheist, and also Protestant for a while too.

You should read Atheist to Catholic- 11 Stories of Conversion by Rebecca V. Cherico.

  • Hi I was born a Catholic but conversion stories like yours have strengthened my faith. Ignore the haters.

  • HELL BOUND. SAY HI TO SATAN FOR ME WHEN HE'S TAKIN YE UP THE ARSE.

  • @ProtestantThomas what A COMPLETE WANKER

  • @mufc99ok That would be you

  • I thought Jesus Christ was the only one who can forgive sins. But according to Catholics, the priests forgive sins. That contradicts the Bible. And the Bible teaches us not to bow before idols...but catholics bow before idols of saints etc.. that contradicts God's Word again. The Bible also says that Jesus Christ is the High Priest, the One who intercedes for us (that is why He said "ask in my NAME") but catholics have saints n Mary for interceders. Why do catholics do these things??

  • @freeangel378

Firstly, the Bible is a Catholic book, so everythign the Catholic Church does is, lo and behold, bibical.

Priests forgiving sins? That is Bibical, my friend; John 20;23 "If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven"

As for idols, we are not worshipping idols, the images are to remind us of individuals who lived Godly lives and we should try to emulate their love for Christ.

  • @Shenanirats

Firstly, the Bible is the WORD of GOD. God's message is for everyone not just Catholics.

Priests do not have the power to forgive sins. Only Jesus is the Saviour! Man can forgive the wrongs that another man do to him, not the sin but the action.

And we do not need to emulate the long gone christians love for God. God is a Father who loves personal relationship with His creations. Does the Bible teahes you to emulate their love for Christ? Nope!

  • @freeangel378 Time to learn some history, friend. The Bible is a Catholic book as in, that in 400AD the Catholic Church put together the books which make up the Bible. Secondly, The Catholic church has taught the same, from God's instruction, for near 2000 years. Men like Luther, and even Calvin to an extent, beleived that Catholic priests could forgive sins. It was the heresies of Protestantism as it continued to pollute and dilute Christianity that changed this idea.

  • should check out Hinduism... makes more sense and im sorry to say i can disprove Christianity but no one can disprove hinduism.

  • Congratulations brother! you came to the true faith, The One and only Church started by The 2nd person of the Holy Trinity, Matthew 16:18 And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Saint Peter was the first Pope! he died in Rome,

Jesus said he was going to build his church, not churches, also remember The Catholic Church chose the books of the Bible under guidance of The Holy Spirit.

  • @MysticalCity Compare the first pope and the current pope....so much difference in humility. Why does he have to sit in vatican with all those gold?? cant he work like Peter?? I grew up at a convent and a Bishop's house...spent over a decade over there, I was the best student, secret keeper of the nuns. WOW, i will never be a catholic.

  • cool story. thanks for sharing

  • That's how I converted too thru research. The Catholic Church made all other churches look like a baby.

  • Lutherans ROCK!!!

  • :) bless you

  • God Bless you :D

  • Thank you for sharing this Daniel, I had to smile, as soon as you mentioned you were going to study History and the Patristic Fathers....I knew that would be the clincher....as Blessed John Newman said "To study history, is to cease to be Protestant" ...Welcome home brother.....

  • @mesforlife HAHA me too!!! I LOVE IT!! Thanks for sharing Daniel!!

  • Thank you for a well thought out and may I say beautiful story of your conversion. As an atheist I completely disagree with you, but I support your journey to YOUR truth 100%.

I would hope that if nothing else you will conclude that the world is big enough for all opinions to be respected and appreciated. Take Care.

  • @nyBrit opinions can be respected...but only one can be true. (:

  • @tinarawks so says the intolerant and the bigoted. Keep at it Daniel, It is good to know there are those who research before accepting any faith, and I pray you continue to walk your path of joy and love!

  • Mind explaining exactly why you became a Christian? (what made you accept Jesus?)

  • @jerryteps Here is the response to you question (youtube.com/watch?v=UI_rbShTQ3g)
