  • hey is ford taunus a good car? Might be my first :) :)

  • Sins I made the clip, the Taunus has been tested on a rolling road which showed 103,6bhp and 165nm, I'm pretty happy with that next step will be 2xDCOE 45mm Weber carbs and a Kent FR32 camshaft (video will come)...

And yes, its with a 4 speed manual gearbox, not so great on the free way but nice acceleration from the lights ;)

  • very good yo

  • the clock is best :)

  • I asume you are asking if the engine is standard, and yes it is standard 101horses with 4speed manual trasmission...

  • @RealCavemary I thought you installed a 5-speed under your Taunus, because it's so quiet coming near the 100/120 km/h!! My Ghia also has the standard 4-speed but is a bit more noisy around that speed. Btw, do you have a 4-cilinder or the V6?? I have a V6 (Ghia), maybe that's why.

And about the clock/RPMmeter discussion: the Ghia's have a tachometer of course, much better than a clock (the Ghia's also have clocks, but next to the ashtray ;))

  • el motor esta estandar?

  • Yes I would have liked and rpm meter instead of a clock, but I have installed one in the centerconsole ;)

Yep I will keep it going, but right now it has been put in garage till I have the time for it again (at the university for 3 more years)

  • Quite fast ford such an old car :-)
