@alexpho Sabaidee Alex. I have never been to the other side via the bridge yet but next time I will and might be strolling around your old neighborhood.
Yes, there are three other Lao people I know of that are living here. When I first came here I hear about two of them, all came from Laos after marrying Dutch men, then another from California. There might be Lao people living in Iceland, who knows, unless they show themselves on the net, LOL.
@saodarly . Yes the people setting up the bridge are from my ban. I use to run around along those banks when I was a kid. Gosh I miss Laos so much now. Can't stop thinking about it. I should be back there in April for a few months. Can't wait !!
That has to be tough living abroad with very few Lao. In the US, it is not that bad. Its usually the fool that drives me crazy. I am very picky and love only Lao food.
@alexpho Just hang in there. April is just around the corner and you can start shopping and packing for your trip next month. It's not so bad with living in a town as the only Lao person here. My identity is not tied to hanging around Lao people on a daily basis. I call my family on a regular basis and I go to Laos when I can. As for food, I can eat just about anything and if I want Lao food I can buy all the ingredients here to cook for myself.
Ahhhhhh. Cross that bridge and you will be at my " Ban ". My house use to be 100 meters to the left of the bridge. Very nice Saodarly.
PS- I was just reading your page and my question is.....there are actually Lao people in the Netherlands ??? Where else?? Iceland ?? LOL.
