ever hit a freeway devider at 50K? a walker could step over it. Wheels are quickly becomming a thing of the past, laser gyroscops are alowing much more advanced ballencing. making "mecks" a strong posibility. And yo ucant step on someone with a tyre. so wheres the fun in wheels?
You can't be serious? First, in combat obviously you wouldn't be on a road, therefore a freeway devider would be deemed useless. Second, "mecks" (spelt as mechs) are inefficient, slow, expensive, unbalance i.e. easy to trip, and most likely hard to maneuver. So, as you can see mechs will probsably never be used for combat.
as of yet Mechs are not sutible for combat. Althouth if you made one of the Mad cats or culdren born it probably could disharten the enime enough for you to win. Imagin all the enimes guns stop then you hear. Thump, Thump, Thump. and then you see coming over a hill this huge biped filled to the brim with Weapons.
The idea of battlmecks is in the verry distant furture, before such an assult vehickle would become fesable, for now the best thing is people running around tagging things so big rockets can take them out. but I see in distant furutre when large ships are no longerfesable and infatnry are to fragile. and these will become the middlegorund.
EVERYONE LISTIN one day, one day war will be as it is in mechwarrior. mark my words, we have the tech and the money to do this for real. everything. i just hope that i will have a hand in that day. live on forever my fellow brave mechwarriors!

Except in realy life the mechs may have wheels and not legs so they can move faster and not have the worry of tripping or falling over.
