He had no chance. Cung Le was too quick and Frank tried a takedown or two and got sherked off.  Frank had long been past his prime and already bit off way more than he could chew with Cung Le. Cung Le is/was an elite striker and his takedown defense is solid. Frank literally had no chance here.

Frank had a shot, for sure, but that flurry he landed was about it. Also, Cung Le came around and beat Scott Smith down in their rematch. Frank was good, but by this point, he was far past his prime. It's not like Cung is a young guy, either, but he's far less beaten up than Frank. I just saw Frank at Flames in San Jose a couple weeks ago. Nice guy.
