  • I tuned this organ...

  • Get a Life Loser

  • i was just kidding about the fishing for a compliment thing...lol and i kno wat u mean about it overpowering the pit but keyboard would b great to play for that show! And im not saying that u were amazing in the video....but it was terrrrrible....lol seriously

  • ur kidding right? dont fish for a compliment, cause u aint gettin one from me...i go to trinty....and i plan on goin to see les mis...ru in the pit?

  • You seriously think I'm that desperate that I'm fishing for a compliment? I'm not I really mean I sounded awful in this video. And unfortunately they don't use the organ for the pit it would overpower the entire pit. I'm thinking about trying out on keyboard though. Anyway, you'll probably see me at least one night of the play for intermission or pre-show. You'll see what I mean when I said this was awful.

  • dude...thats sick!!

  • I'm hoping to get more videos up soon. I sounded awful in this video.

  • pomp and circumstance by Elgar. Very nice!

  • Yeah I'm hoping to get some halfway decent videos of myself up. This video, while I appreciate it being on here, shows me playing really poorly. Also, I don't have the spock hair anymore so I don't call me spock like most people do.

  • Don't*, no I.

  • good job man, how long have you been playing

  • Check my profile for more info. It'll be 2 years of playing in May.

  • cool keep up the good work, and this is mcelwain by the way

  • Oh hey. Yeah this video sucks as far as my playing goes. I'll try and put up some better videos soon.

  • Great Job Dan! Don't worry about the second touch... it still gets me lol

  • Thanks Donnie! I plan on posting better videos when I go into school next week because I have the week off and I want to go in to practice for an event I'm playing at.

  • ah, it made me smile. How wonderful to see a young man, perhaps not all that familiar with theater organ, trying it out and putting a little individual spirit into it. Hope he enjoyed it and that this is only a beginning.

  • I am very familiar with theatre organ and this is like the 7th time I played that particular organ but I wasn't planning on playing that day. I'll post good videos soon when I'm actually prepared to play.

  • Yeah I am a theatre organist though so don't let this make you think I can't play well. I just wasn't prepared to play that day because I wasn't expecting it.

  • It's refreshing to see someone your age taking to the theatre pipe organ! Go Dan!

  • The touch of a WurliTzer is very different from a church organ, as I found out recently. Keep it up, I rather like the second touch post horn.

  • actually this isn't a wurlitzer. It is a robert morton console attached to 2 chambers containing 15 ranks, which are 3 ranks of wurlitzer, 2 ranks of robert morton, 1 rank of barton, and 9 ranks of austin. Thanks for your kind words I appreciate it a lot.

    Dan Minervini

  • and It's not the registration for second touch that kills me its the fact that it was played on some notes when I didn't mean to. Thanks for your words cromorone,

    Dan Minervini

  • Watch it Circus Boy, Mr. Bruno may torch that thing at the open house...

  • Hi John. I'm assuming it's you though I'm not sure.

  • sorry for the pedal mistakes I was wearing sneakers that day. Thanks Lew Williams for saving my hands time! Im still getting used to changing registration changes mid-song plus I didnt exactly have time to reset all my piston after the show. Thanks!

  • Yeah It sounds much better when I'm in full school attire and wearing my good leather-soled dress shoes-this was on a weekend so I wasn't all dressed up. Ah that second touch sounds worse every time I hear it but I guess everyone is their own worst critic.

  • i cant believe it! wow! lew williams?? he's a god at the theater organ... Do you go to chaminade in long island? I didnt know they had an organ! wow

  • Yes, I do. It is the only working theatre pipe organ on Long Island and I am currently one of two student organists. I will be playing on the 15th but if you have a kid in Chaminade or something, you need tickets. It's a pre-show for a play I'm playing at.

  • Disregard that I don't think you'd have kids. But yeah I'm one of two student organists there (I play mostly theatre organ, the other plays mostly church organ).

  • AHH DAN!!!!! =]

    so very talented

  • Thanks.

  • Woah it's me.

  • keep it up wee man
