Nice to see the all the old Stanleys still running. Before the internal combustion engine, there was the obvious steam car, and the electric car. The internal combustion engine is noisy and pollutes a lot, but because it was cheap, people bought it. The steam and electric solutions are better in both efficiency and in less pollution. They're just not as cheap as IC engine cars are now.
