I lived in Newy 12 years ago. I went to Europe for a year and the day I came back I drove down past the bowling club. the surf was 12-15ft, one of those days when the wind is just holding up the outside peaks and you think to yourself that maybe, just maybe, you could get out there.
I looked across to the pool and there was Straddie literally flying across one of the biggest and most beautiful waves I've ever seen.
