For the most part their pretty placid. South West Rocks you can dive around 15 of them and they dont take any notice of you...

A tiger shark the stripes on it are clearer. the sand tiger shark usually has its mouth open with very sharp thin teeth to hold on to its prey, whereas the tiger shark, has wide cerated teeth to cut through the flesh of its prey. as i said if you want to reply to someone, 1 get your facts right, 2 don't think that offending people is cool!. check google.

I usually try to prod a shark getting too curious rather than shoot it. Shot a curious wobbygong and all it did was piss him off. Was only a small one but i'd hate to piss off a large mako.

Asshole, that was completely unnecessary. You swam TO the shark to do that, the shark wasn't harassing you. Sand tigers are very docile sharks, and yes, I've encountered them on many occasions. They don't bother divers at all.

I usually try to prod a shark getting too curious rather than shoot it. Shot a curious wobbygong and all it did was piss him off. Was only a small one but i'd hate to piss off a large mako.

@fishunter11 htat's not a nurse shark. it's Carcharius taurus. a nurse shark is a bottom feeder that eats crustation and has very small teath. the sand tiger is ASLO CALLED a GREY nurse shark. and contrary to what most divers think they do SOMETIMES attack humans without provocation. always remember anything with big sharp teeth and small brains or apparatus filled with poison aint made to be your freind

@scruffyrunkin theres a difference between a sandtiger/grey nurse shark and a bull shark. bull sharks a far more agressive and sandtigers are barely known to ever attack humans the last report was a female got her hand bitten because she was holding a fish head. I used to free dive with sandtigers when i was 13
