Having taken a tour of both campuses just last year and having the pamphlets in my hand for both schools, I can say for sure bama's average ACT acceptance score was 2-3 points lower than AU's, and the average GPA was .35 lower. All charges against Newton were dropped after he completed a court-approved pretrial diversion program.
Which means he had to plead guilty!
Also, Foxsports reported that Newton left the University of Florida after the fall semester in 2008 rather than face suspension or expulsion in part because of three instances of academic cheating.

Alabama won a total of 26 conference championships including 4 Southern Conference and 22 SEC Championships. Alabama captured the first SEC title in 1933 and has won a total of 22 SEC Championships and has won more SEC football titles than any other school, with three coming since the conference split into separate divisions and added a Championship Game. I'd happily bet money that this guy is a sidewalk alum who didn't go to either school, but roots for bama cause he can walk around spouting crap like "herp derp 13 nashunel champeenships" to all the people that root for AU that have gone there or have family that have gone there. When you do more than go to a homecoming game at Bryant-Denny-Tuberville-Chizik stadium once every 5 years you can have a say in the debate. Please check the Princeton review of both schools, where you will find the GPA average out of High School for Auburn isa 3.8 and the GPA average out of High School for Alabama is a 3.5. This directly correlates to chance of admission. Furthermore, I'd like you to check out college rankings, grade weights, and also be sure to look into Auburn being the fourth hardest school in nation. Use google. War Eagle

@ZammysWine I am an Alabama student (TTown local and Non-Greek) and soon to be alum. It all depends on your degree that one is going after. Alabama is more of Business Science and Arts/Sciences college whereas auburn is more of a tech and agricultural college. Somethings at Alabama in terms of degree are harder to get into at UA compared to auburn (for ex-Nursing school at UA is much higher/harder get into than auburn, but au engineering harder get into/better than UA). @inviscousfluid Well everyone knows anyone with a pulse can get into Auburn says their 86% acceptance rate. Bama's is under 60%. Can't argue with the facts. Oh and no cares about architecture when you can major in Business and Law (both MUCH better at Bama) where all the real money is

@MountaineerForLife im not sure where you get your facts from seeing as how the ACT cut off for Auburn used to be a 24 now is a 25 and Alabama's used to be an 18... dont worry they've stepped their game up... its a 19 now.... i would know seeing as how i made a 30 and will be graduating from Auburn next year with a degree in aerospace engineering... which Auburn is amoung the top engineering schools in the nation.... business law hahahaha, cause everyone loves lawyers hahahaha
