  • i am the drummer that plays at the start of this piece.

this piece was played by the royal scots association pipe band.

at the end of this we stumped the conducter as we stood still and marched of th the Black Bear without the knowledge of the conducter.

  • It reminds me of the music for the movie "Gettysburg".

  • @nexxan85 Hope it was a great weddiong for you!

  • This is the song my two friends are going to pipe at my wedding this June. :-)

  • beautyful!

  • fantastic! and i was born in belfast

  • nexxan85. It's remarkable that two Germans could compose such a wonderful piece of bagpipe music. Glückwünsche.

  • nexxan85 Have a look at a slower version played by the Royal Marines at RMSoM 2003. It's just my opinion, both versions are great.

  • @jarekgar1 it was real nice.....still like this version better though....may be since I have a connection with this version/tempo.....

This piece of music is still one of the best that ever came out of Germany (except for the classical composers, Bach, Strauss Beethoven and the others :) )

  • Nice performance, but played too fast. It's much more effective as a slow march.

  • @jarekgar1 I think it's just the right tempo.....shouldn't be any slower. This is how i learned to play it.

  • @nexxan85 ok....maybe a little too fast....but thats marginal.....and I actually like it better this way :D
