  • FUCKING GOOD ADVICE

  • this didnt explain me anything

  • Cut vinegar out of your diet and you won't feel compelled to itch like that.

  • @BugsWisely and also the opiates.

  • step one, get a giant wall of expensive equipment. Step two, repeat step one.

  • I hate audio tutorial videos that don't demonstrate things aurally, talk is cheap..

  • So I've got this big million dollar wall and what I do is moving this knob a millimiter to the right

  • @everythingadrenaline haha nice one :p

  • Hmm, not sure how well that would work with a busy swing kick. I'll have to give it a try. Doesn't really make sense to me for anything other than a straight rock kick.

  • Question Anyone ? If I Put And Reverb Effect On A Beat Section Can I Put A Compresion Effect As Well Too ??? Or It Will Be Too Much ??? Thanks !!!

  • @Shack504 i would keep your effects on separate channels and bus your audio to them. I would try compression directly on the Beat Section but if it is too much try a side chain of compression. - message me if you want more details on how to complete these tasks inside your DAW or on a console. hope that helps!

  • @TheDestinationSound Thank U So Much Man !!! I Will Try And Let U Know, I'm Working With FL Studio Rigth Now !!!

  • I graffiti all walls, but not that one!

  • You can tell this guy really does not want you to listen or even look at him. He wants you to see his gear.

  • nice 1!!!

  • hjgjhg

  • is this from the 1990's?

  • Is it me or does this guy sound just like Tom Cruise?

  • i feel like such a slut watching this...

  • @darkchocolate132 but are ya?

  • Gear porn to it's finest

  • Will do - thanx for the tip xD

  • Thanks captain obvious!

  • omg. nobody has this gear!! at least, not I. in a vst a lot of this still applies anyway

  • @Cmontermini A lot of what applies? this guy just explained basic drum compression.

  • @eRealist lol

  • @eRealist well, you see in a vst, compressors have a release knob too, silly.

  • @Cmontermini Do VSTs have a release knobs? Answer: No, VSTs don't have any knobs.

  • this looks like the cockpit of an airplane..except with a billion more knobs and buttons O_O

  • Thanks for the tip bro...

  • Obvious guy is obvious.

  • Just casually use my distresser to compress my drums lololol.

  • Gosh, you've... really got some nice toys here.

  • Tell me something I don´t know

    that was pretty obvious

  • that wall looks like my reason rack...but in REAL LIFE!!! :^0

  • that wall of gear makes me make a pumping and breathing sound

  • @AndyCrystalOfficial That's a bit unfair. The tip was based around timing the release. A "release" control is available on hi-end compressors, freeware plugin compressors and everything inbetween.

  • what about if the song goes from oh say 40bpm to 200?

  • name one

  • @imwideawake000 use a plugin and automate the release time change.

  • @imwideawake000 Then use one Compressor on the 40bpm> and a second compressor "Unbypassed" by the time the 200bpm kicks in. same technique can be used in a song having various bpm shifts :)

  • @imwideawake000 then you would process it differently for the part that goes to 200 bpm.

  • @imwideawake000 then you set it so your drum works with the 200 BPM....then when its 40bpm..youll easily have enough time till the next beat..right?

  • @imwideawake000 then stick an aubergine up your arse

  • @imwideawake000 I'd assume automation.

  • @imwideawake000 then automation comes into play

  • @imwideawake000 How many songs do you know go all the way to 64th notes, now stfu.

  • sexiest. wall. ever.

  • @rayclark200 Hell Yeah!!!

  • @rayclark200 I literally wiped the screen and blew it a kiss

  • distressor doesn't even have a threshhold knob...

  • @AndyCrystalOfficial You don't have to have any fancy rack equipment. You can apply the same technique to plug-in compressors. I use an 1176 plug-in set to "all buttons in" mode on my room mics, time the attack and release to pump with the rhythm, and BAM! Adds huge sound and depth...you might want to roll off some high end with an EQ though (and some low end if the kick needs to be tight) so it doesn't get in the way of the overheads.

  • time the release? u mean ghetto ducking?......

  • great tip thanks, I got a couple Distressors I ALWAYS use when tracking drums, I'll give this is a shot on my next session. pedroaida com
