  • Duane did play on Jessica. The recordings were finished before he died and the album was released with his parts posthumously. The album was named "Eat A Peach" in honor of him; he was killed in a collision with a peach truck.

  • @butterdrums Thanks for clearing that up butterdrums.

  • Stewmade -- great stuff. have had fun playing along with you! Check out my version of Jessica (both solos) on my website. We should play together via Skype!

  • Top Gear!!!! haha i love this song. learning it on guitar right now.

  • one part of that sounded exactly like the start of top gear ! hahaha

  • nice amp

  • Don't worry, just read caption :-)

  • Duane Allman didn't play on Jessica, he died before the album that Jessica features on was cut. Duane Betts, (Dickey's son) plays in his farther's band and is featured on the lesson video that Stewmade64 refers to. Great playing, what amp you using?

  • Well there you go, they're referring to Duane Betts.

Amp is a LTD blonde Fender Hot Rod Deluxe.

  • Duane didn't play on Jessica

  • @FingerNoise Was it just the keyboard harmony? On the Dickey Betts Jessica instruction video, they state Duane harmony part. Maybe a different Duane?

  • no i think its Les Dudek , Duane died in 1971 and the album Brothers and Sisters came out 1973 The group's first album recorded completely after the death of Duane Allman

  • great idea man, great guitar, great song and nice playing! still needs some work. but yeah this sounds interesting
