another warningto players: if you find an alien blaster/firelance, do not use vats at long distance. these weapons have horrible accuracy. but they take down deathclaws in one-two hits so use your ammo very sparingly

I completed the side quest where the people are cannibals in the city. So I was walking away from the town and I heard a random explosion. I turned back thinking that the city exploded and then looked around to see what exploded and never found it. I finally found the firelance with cells around it under a cliff.

Strangest thing. Ive seen how you are suppose to get this weapon but I was killing some raiders near Wilhelms Wharf and one of them had it on him for loot.

@JabberCT Dude, same thing happened to me in the beginning of the game when i was fighting raiders at the supermarket. There was a crash on top of the place while i was walking up, and it was irradiated. Alien power cells were laying everywhere, and one of the fucks had it on them. I died like 3 times before i could get the drop on him and take it.

If the random event has already happened but you cant find the firelance go get dogmeat from the Scrapyard and tell him to go find you a weapon and he will return with the Firelance :D If this doesnt work or he brings back a random weapon like a 32. Pistol try doing it again or in a different area. Hope this helps and saves a lot of time :D

Finally got this one a couple of days back. A few message boards claim that the SPECIAL luck stat doesn't factor into the random encounter rolls, but rather just crit. chance, increases in all skills and value of loot from repeatable enemies. That would make sense since my luck of 8 didn't get me this encounter until about my 50th load.

@limitsora69 well for one the "unique" missle launcher is a piece of shit, and two fallout 3 has been out for 3 years most people know there is extra alien power cells in the fort. and 3 you can get a shitload of cells from the mothership zeta add on and  lastly there is a glitch to get infinite alien power cells and if anyone else is reading this, message me on my channel for it because i don't want some other asshole finding out and patching it .
