i would have to disagree with the very last style guide. braiding your hair will not give you that effect. it makes your hair kinky (if thats the word i want ...) i do want to achieve the last style of hair but braids NEVER work for me and neither does curling. ive yet to find someone that braiding and taking out has the final look of that miley photo.

have you tried using a curling iron. i use mine and my hair is like supper straight and tought to curl, but when i curl it with my straightner i swear the curls stay in all day throught school without hairspray lol its so cool...you should try it if u have a 1-2 inch straightner!!! :)

i have. my hairs just super hard to control lol but we tried the last one on my friends hair .. which does everything (hate her! lol) and it didnt work. but all the others did.

i just about 3 days ago can control my natural curl .. which is very curly (its straightenable curl tho .. but its this curl enhancer and it lets me air dry my hair for the 1st time in my life ... bu looks similar to Mileys new video for "WILAY" .. the messy curl style.

haha lol well i hope it works and my hair is in between urs and ur friends like it wont work when i want it to and need it to but it works when i don't have a reason lol but give ur hair time and maybe even ask whoever cuts ur hair to straighten it bc mine told me the more u straightin ur hair it stays and becoms ur natural hair.

If you scrunch your hair when it's wet you'll get the last look, but I suggest using a curl cream or wave cream cause gels tend to get hard and crunchy.

NOTE: its actually bad to straiten your hair first if your hair is natural curly.. i learned this from expieriance ( the curls dont stay in long...)

@dance4evr101 Sorry but no, only straighteners that heat up from the outside (which almost all do) but they should also be kind of round - ish on the edges, they cant be like cuboid, since u would creases when curling.
