I'm going to preface what I say by telling you I use to skateboard myself. However going down hill and with curves is a recipe for disaster... and you know it. I live in an area blocks away from a skate park and it too has curves and gentle decline which is very temping to skate to get to the park. More than once some kid almost bought it. A 140 pound kid is no match for a 2,000+ pound car and you can't react fast enough nor can the driver. Very dumb and possibly deadly idea.

@willieofroanoke I am not advocating people to go do this. But I have experienced many falls in my life and have bombed many hills on regular skateboards. It's not like it was my first time getting on a regular board and bombing. When I fell I knew how to fall, this why I didn't get that hurt, just some scrapes. I had all my weight on the trucks but it couldn't with stand the speed. I knew the board was going to slip under my feet thats why I bailed and did a barrel roll.
