They just got hit with the biggest fine ever by FAA for profit first safety second flights. Much like any other criminal CEO they jumped back at the charges with denial and self defence.

As a regular flyer I will not fly with AA, what makes me angry is the predictable response from these guys, they JUST DON'T GET IT....whether it is Enron, BP etc etc...they get caught red handed and they go on the defensive instead of owning up to their screwup.

The first airline I ever flew on. :) AA is not just on time, but they are early a lot of times. Every family of jetliners Boeing had made, AA has operated them, they even had 717 for a short time, and they have 787 on order. I hope they stay with there livery for another 40 years.

American Airlines was once good but now it lags behind most of the airlines today, they have the oldest fleet, a bad ontime preformance, no snacks on any domestic flights. the best airlines in my opoinion for domestic

1. JetBlue

2. continental

3. Southwest

4. Delta

Krispykreme is right AA was trying to keep all passengers safe. Tons of crashes even one of the lastest crash was caused by thunderstorms and rain. Those have the high probability of crashes and I would be very happy tht my airline is keeping me safe.
