in the fair part of the fight Fleming wipes Cash out, but bruins keep holding his arms and interfering with the fight, including Orr. Bobby in fact jumps in cuz Cash is getting his clock cleaned.
No third man in rule. I'm surprised anyone got to actually fight clean because players constantly intervened. Pretty wild days, but boy does hockey miss those days.
Hyenas? You use that phrase on all your posts, crack me up. Bruins were a tough bunch of guys man, they fought you straight up...You sound like a ranger fan...Always a bridesmaid, never a bride...
@melfriend7 are you joking? Orr wanted them to stand up and square off cleanly instead of throwing punches when they were both down. When they were both up, and had a clean square off, not a single Bruin interviened. It was Buffalo players who had to save Reg.
Cashman was a very good all-around player, tough as nails, fearless and loyal. The only reason he wasn't an "elite" fighter is becasue he wasn't a full-time goon like most of the so-called elite fighters were, O'Reilly and Neely being two obvious exceptions. O'Reilly scored 93 points in 1979, Neely 's in the HOF.
No,he punched Cashman into the back of the net,not push him into the back of the net. Also, don't get too spazzed out about Cashman,he lost a lot of fights in his career.Guy Lapointe beat the shit out of him too,a lot of guys did.He really wasn't an elite fighter.
Reg always played great, because his heart is as big as Chicago. Those were the days at the "Old Barn". I always loved the way he stood up for his teammates.

John MacKenzie was the biggest piece of s*** in the NHL. A classic backstabber. Never met someone he couldn't get from behind.

Admit it, you hate the Bruins and can't be objective. Be a man and own up.

Thats odd, all I saw was Cashman absolutely destroying Fleming.... just desserts for that cheapshot ass.

You mean he pushed Cashman into the back of the net and he tripped? lol Then he got up and pounded Reg to a pulp? Is that what you mean? LMAO
Reg played for the Bruins for a couple of years and was a hard nosed player, but he couldnt carry Cashman's jock as a fighter.

Wow, this is 1970-71 after Reggie Fleming was let go by the Flyers.
Are my eyes deceiving me or is that Buffalo goalie Joe Daley without a goalie mask? If so, he was one of the last to do so.

the absolute last goalie to wear a mask was andy brown of the pittsburgh penguins
