  • Damn, what a powerful climb!

  • Lol some of the comments on here are great. Some of these people need to just stop posting

  • graceful plane ever i seen..........The "NOISY SWAN"!!!

  • Precioso avion, me parece que ya esta viejo...pero no deja de ser precioso !

  • very, very beautiful plane!

  • Worst Airline EVER!!! BH

  • @airplanes1000 i don't think so...

  • @lyub4o69 no Balkin Holidays

  • @airplanes1000 I've flown with BH Air twice and they're a good budget airline

  • @airplanes1000 I don't know why you think so... May be your flight was not good enough..?!

But everytime i have used BHAir it was a pleasure to flying with them!

In fact Balkan Holidays Air (which is the correct spelling of the name) is better than some british charter airlines...

  • @lyub4o69 and those are?

  • @airplanes1000 :) well, i find this conversation for lose of time... :)

You have an opinion, i have another... ok!

But just to mention that this video is about a plane (a really great one), not for an airline...

So be an airline hater at other places, but not here :)

  • @lyub4o69 OK sorry ;-)

  • @airplanes1000 de nada amigo :)

  • I tell you what...that baby can climb!!!

  • Computres flying planes is nice, but what if computer crashes ;) These old mechanical birds are proven !

  • This is quickly becoming my favorite video. Especially the close-up take-off of the first Balkan Ty-154m. Sweet.

Can anyone tell me the size comparison of the Ty-154m and the 727-200?

  • @Cahulawassee

    Tu-154M : Wing span 37.55m (123ft 3in), length 47.90m (157ft 2in), height 11.40m (37ft 5in). Wing area 201.5m2 (2168.4sq ft)

    Boeing 727-200 : Wing span 32.92m (108ft 0in), length 46.69m (153ft 2in), height 10.36m (34ft 0in). Wing area 157.9m2 (1700sq ft)

  • @lyub4o69 Thank you for the information. Very interesting.

  • @Cahulawassee You're welcome.

  • What an amazing aircraft a true tribute to Russian engineering at it's best !.

I have flown to and from Bulgaria on TY154's and love them, they have much more character than western aircraft ,and the Soloviev turbofans make a great sound too.

    Long live Tupolev TY154 !!!!!.

  • Very good!!!!!!!!!!!

  • super music noise engines! beautiful video ))) and rare video, because no more Tu-154 Aeroflot scheduled flights.....

  • Boeing 727

  • Now that's an interesting engine sound...

  • Maybe it was a good aircraft in the sixties (what am I saying?) but I would NEVER fly in one now!

Certain death...old technology, Russian design...T34 style tractor of the airways.

  • @VonTripps sure, have u ever flown on an aircraft for that matter, fuckin US fag, man I have flown in both TU and 700 series aircrafts and I shall say The TUs are built better due to their small porportions whereas the 700 series are soo common that the building process of the aircrafts wend to the shitter once the USSR collasped as they thought they had no competition left. BTW, these aircrafts that are shown in this vid were probably made in the early 1990's, so they use modern aviaonics!!!!

  • This is what a real plane should sound like. Not like in America where there are these lame ass pussy noise restrictions on planes.

  • This bird is climbing like a homesick angel, i love it. thanks for sharing

  • Бля !! какой звук! просто наслаждение !

  • Too bad that the only time I flew in one of these was when I was a little kid. I don't remember a thing. And I doubt I'll have another chance to have a ride in this bucket of Red Soviet magnificence...

  • Mnogo krasiva mashina, imah kusmet da putuvam nqkolko puti na edin ot tqh s balkan!

  • @Loudyest naistina e mnogo krasiv samolet....i burz i mo6ten!

az su6to imah udovolstvieto da letq s TU5 na BALKAN

  • wow those are some pretty steep takeoffs... makes this plane that much better!

  • smooth as silk,beautiful aircraft

  • I would like to congratulate the Bulgarians a great artistic taste in painting of the first Tupolev shown in this video!Thank you!Greetings from a Tupolev fan from Warsaw

  • @Sowka1967 :) thanks!!! :)

...and fact is that a british aviation magazine said that the BHAir's TU5 have the most beautiful livery of all TU5's in the world... :)

  • I enjoy beautiful painting of the first plane of this video!Congratulation from Tu-154 fan from Warsaw ;-)

  • Beautiful concerto of the most beautiful soloistes:Tu-154 ! I hope the will not disappear from the sky !

  • @Sowka1967 I hope so too...

  • oh f*ck...that was a f*cking early reverse on the second video

  • @OberfeldwebelShultze As discussed and shown elsewhere on YT, pre-touchdown deployment of thrust reverse is standard practice on the Tu-154, believe it or not.

  • Tu 154. Another Typical Russian plane, Badly maintained, Badly Designed and Badly Flown!

  • @diesel5913 ...and badly commented... :)

  • @diesel5913

Tu 154 is the best passenger plane ever built.

It was built more than 1000 pieces of it. He is very fast, robust and strong.

And he is better designed then Boeing.

  • @Alex1983demo And tell me......how many operating TU-154 aircraft are out there? Of that small number how many of them are outside of Russia? Yeah thats what I thought

  • @diesel5913 Tell me how many 727s & 737s are still operating in Europe...???

None...or very few hushkitted models...Same is the situation with the TU5s...(cause the plane was selled mostly in Eastern Europe and in the ex. USSR countries)

If there was not this strictly ICAO noise regulations this nice planes will fly till today and even many years ahead

  • Airlines like Aeroflot now think Ilyushin and Tupolev aircraft are not as good as Airbus and Boeing but I think that's a not true!

  • best engine sound

  • Splendid, powerful and beautiful airplane. It takes off almost vertically, reaching the above 1000 ft safer altitude in a few seconds..! Very impressive too is it's great stability and precision during the landing procedure...! It seems it was the Occident's bad commercial practices and lobbies which prevented this plane to fly over Occidental countries...Problems in accidents (not much than the ones with Airbus and Boeing's..) was credited mostly to pilot (human) and maintenance faults....

  • @marsproxy Thanks man! You are absolutely right!!!

  • I love you Russians - England :)

  • ive been on the first plane that was shown

  • Unbelivable rate of climb for this size aircraft, probably with heavy load.

  • Tu-154 - the best Trijet in the world!!

    Long live the Tu-154

  • @stevewhite73h yeah,great sound!

  • Comment removed

  • nice video!

  • Oh, and don't those tailplanes remind you of Russian military hats! But of course they grew that big after the open and honest analysis by BAC of the deep stall T-tail weak elevator authority problems with the 1-11. The Russians, grateful for the tip, went for big tail planes rather than stick pushers to overcome the problem.

  • The Tuplolev 154M, the air-cooled Porsche 911 of the skies. Tough, tail heavy, fabulous acceleration, one of the fastest things around, interesting handling, beautiful sound, total charisma, damn useful in snowy conditions and an eternal classic.

  • Agree!!

    Very nice video!

    Like music :)

Keep them coming, old Jet´s like the 154 is more and more a rare bird in western airports :(

  • Thank You :)

  • Great video, great plane. 5/5.

  • Thanks a lot!

  • thanks a lot!
