  • awesome dude

  • PROUD TO BE INDIAN. Love you India and Indians..

  • 7:49 i will be waiting for this moment. it made my eyes water, i love my india :D

  • India plans a Manned Mission to Moon by 2025. I hope it works out well, I don't know about other Nations but as an Indian I would definitely love to see an Indian land on the Moon and plant a Flag of India on the Moon.

Go India ! Before anyone criticize India, They should remember that India only got it's independence roughly 50 years ago and has already made this much progress ! I can't imagine what India would achieve 50 years from now.

  • Nice clip.. animation quality could be better.. in the beginning the planets were really exaggerated in size relative to the sun.. good soundtrack selection

  • @gsrikar I agree.

  • I LOVE MY INDIA

  • Am still not sure about USA sending their man to the moon. I still believe its a hoax made up to make the world believe US is leading USSR in Space Research and Expansion.

Anyway, we now are a member, elite member to have sent our own vehicle and indigenously made rover to the moon..!!

Jai Ho India... I Love You for What You Are and for What You Will Be...!!!

  • Great animation, very inspirational. But what will India and another countries find from their good efforts from the Moon other than realize as the Americans found 50 years ago.......the moon is worthless! This seems to be a 'catch up' to something that has already been done a half century ago by the US. I'd wish they'd to devote themselves to better projects. Mars and more.

  • @ziggycat999 50 years ago the U.S went to the Moon but the world did not have scientific technologies to analyze the moon properly. There is still a lot for us to learn about the moon, during the Chandrayan 1 mission, water was discovered in the moon and that is just the beginning.

  • @kedharf1

    Well Said !!!....

  • @kedharf1 Agreed.

  • @kedharf1 REALLY GOOOD POINT ,GREAT POINT

  • @ziggycat999

    1) And these are the first steps required to move towards having a permanent human presence on the moon.

    2) More detailed 3D topographic and mineralogical mapping of the moon

    3) Eventually position to harvest potentially valuable energy resources like Helium 2 for our Mankind’s ever growing energy needs.

    4) Not to mention the obvious... for India to indigenously develop and prove the technology required for more complex space exploration.

  • Sorry I meant to say "Helium 3" for point (3)....

It is rare on Earth, and is sought for use in nuclear fusion research. The abundance of helium-3 is thought to be greater on the Moon (embedded in the upper layer of regolith by the solar wind over billions of years)

  • @ziggycat999 moon is worthless? worthless? Are you nuts?. The moon collects H3( helium 3), from the sun and has been collecting it for billions of years. H3 burns up in the earth 's atmosphere but is collected on the moon. H3 is the future fuel for fusion reactors. All major countries are racing to the moon to be able to gather and ship back this stuff. Around 15 tons of H3 will be required to power whole of USA for 1 year.

  • @desiguy55 moon is awesome

  • Could you please provide the link to download the video for a class presentation?

    It is just superb!

  • Best Thinking Need to raise our standards we are much more than this westerners our forefathers knew the technology before any of us were born...................Need to do more Practical thinking and participate in every aspect in Indias development need to bring new educational System into place ........Best of Luck India in Present and Future

  • did this ever happen?

  • Lol americans first did this 40 years ago

  • Instead, we can use those resources either in developing satellite with more features or giving a helping hand to NASA for mission "MANNED MISSION TO MARS."

  • why to waste the resources for manned mission to moon by 2020 which was already done by many astronauts.Instead, we can use those resources either in developing satellite with more features or giving a helping hand to NASA for mission "MANNED MISSION TO MARS."

  • Its great that India has decided the manned mission to moon.......but, this was done before by many astronauts. I just want to ask,why to waste the resources for manned mission to moon by 2020 which was already done by many astronauts.....Instead, we can use those resources either in developing satellite with more features or giving a helping hand to NASA for mission "MANNED MISSION TO MARS." which may lead to a new discovery....

  • JAI HIND.

  • i loved the video . we made it a school project that was a huge success.I AM VERY VERY PROUD TO BE A INDIAN. JAI HINNNDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • well dev an excellent job.ok brothers the right time has come to display our power and knowledge.oneday we will rewright our glorious past, when aaryabhatta made india proud and begun the glorious work on science and astrophysics.no wonder our path to summit is still far away and full of problems. No matter whatsoever it is we are valiants.

  • In INDIA we have a great potential and oppurtinity to become masters in space. I pray god, that, corruptions and greed of people may not destroy our aim and ability. China and Pakistan are two main enemies that will try to hinder our ability. We must not give up. Good Luck INDIA. JAI HIND

  • Excellent animation, proud to be Indian

  • Thanks dev . Anyway best wishes . I keep in touch with you.

  • dev one qustion why this mission round two times earth? its not possible direct? fuel is waste right?

  • @faisalkkol - 5 orbit raising thruster burns that increase the apogee of the elliptical orbit of Chandrayaan until it was able to reach the moon is the most fuel efficient method to get to the Moon.

  • @faisalkkol: - Earth's gravitational force, air resistance and frictional force is so strong that it won't let it go straight up. I mean it could but it would just burn off due to friction and air resistance. If you want to put it straight into the sky then you would have to fire the rocket at minimum 40,000 meters/second velocity/speed. Orbit allows you to overcome the huge amount of gravity's force. (Well I won't explain it how, if you want to know more about it than study circular motion.)

  • hi dev, an excellent video. Very well compiled indeed. Just wanted permission from you. Was wondering if i could use your video in a general wareness seminar in which i need to present on the topic 'Moon and Mars'.

  • Absolutely fascinating. Awe inspiring.

  • geniuses

  • thats rocking man!!!

creativity, graphics awesome.., proud to be indian

    2020 india rules

  • very good i need it 4 a project tell me how to download it

very proud to be an Indian

  • @TheRaawan - The GSLV series of launch vehicles are used to lift heavier payloads into earths orbit (like LEO, GTO, etc.)

  • India's PSLV- C11 launch vehicle was used to put Chandrayaan-1 into earth orbit (GTO), then 5 orbit raising manoeuvres (orbit burns) were used to put Chandrayaan-1 into Moon's orbit.

Chandrayaan-1 was launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre using the ISRO's 44.4 metre tall four-stage PSLV launch rocket.

  • YESSS... 200,000 views !!!

  • Man What an Achievement by India with such manpower especially the Budget other countries must have been jawdropped...kudos but looking at the different prospects Indians must also look different opportunity in Space like the Voyager 1 and 2 of the Late 70s still going strong even after 25 yrs ...What an Achievement.....

    Could Some possibly Do that

  • I am so Proud to be an Indian !!!! Thanks ISRO.

  • Critics may anything, but it was chandrayan & the people were Indians who first found water on moon's surface, because the impact of landing caused the land to crack, revealing the water beneath moon's surface. It came as a shock to the NASA scientist, who were trying to find water on surface of almost every planet, that India had beaten them by finding water on our own natural satellite, moon.

  • My Country

    My India

    My people

    To live and Die for

LONG LIVE INDIA AND MY FELLOW INDIANS

  • congrats isro

  • Sad / unfortunate news today (15 April, 2010) about the failure of the test flight of GSLV with India's indigenous Cryogenic Engine.

These types of failures are to be expected in the development of any new / complex technologies and capabilities.

"Failures are the Pillars of future Success !!!"

  • @DevDevendra,

Yeah, and unfortunately all the cackling armchair critics and Monday-morning quarterbacks are coming out to say I-told-you-so and attack ISRO over the GSLV failure. I find these vultures to be disgusting, because they only make their remarks after the failures and mishaps, while otherwise keeping mum. My sympathies go out to the ISRO team - they've brought us so far that nobody should turn back now.

  • proud to be an indian

  • I wish USA had the same vision of space as India does. This is magical. This is what America needs. A vision. We have lost track and purpose and passion. GOD HELP US.

  • @comanchehotspot yeah I heard the USA faked the lunar landing mission but I think thats a pile of crap why would they fake somthing like that.

  • i Want Indians to progress and an Indian to set foot on moon or mars

If there is a donation fund or anything setup to support the ISROs projects missions let me know.

I want to make my little contribution by helping them financially.

Theres so many NRIs living around the world and if ISROs projects are delayed or hampered by financial struggles i am Sure if just a handfull of these NRIs contributed little sum of money it would be huge boost for ISRO...Lets unite! ..Chak De India !!!

  • Yes I am proud to be Indian, 4rth country to Have flag on Moon, Our tricolor on moon

  • we all must to proud to be an indian every indian must watch this vedio.....huts of to all the scientiest who have take part in this mission....its one of the gretest achivement in our indian history

  • proud 2 be an indian..cant wait to see india set foot on the moon

  • proud 2 be an indian.....i wann reach the sky one day.......

  • jai ho ....Chandrayaan

  • At 3:47 Ahh Just look at Her on the face of The Earth, that's my country. That is INDIA.....

  • Isn't She Beautiful from space... also check out India at 2:48

  • Yes indeed

  • @ezhavapanicker You left a very heart touching comment for all indians including me. Tnx for this patriotic reply. जय हिन्द

  • More news! NASA's mini-SAR instrument aboard Chandrayaan-1 shows that there may be ~600million metric tonnes of ice frozen in shadowed craters near the Moon's north pole!

  • Yes I read that... this is Great News !!!

Another first / major discovery facilitated by India's Chandrayaan-1.

  • @DevDevendra

Thanks. This is a Great Video. Pleasure to eyes

  • @DevDevendra

cant wait for my country to send manned moon mission on earth....we'll be the second nation to do so right after usa??

  • Good news! Chandrayaan mini-SAR data has now revealed over 600 million metric tonnes of water ice on the lunar surface at its north pole.

That's more than enough to support entire cities on the Moon!

  • good to know that... great acheivement by Cnrdyaan-1

  • excellent video

  • i like it!

  • And now they found water on the moon with chandraayan. Exciting stuff indeed! I'm waiting for the day when i get to visit the moon:)

  • We had all the anti gravity technology which was described in our great epics. But we were so ignorant, we started re reading the western concepts and trying to repeat them. This is not something Indians should do. We should have break in education system that will allow kids to think on their own!!!! Anybody agree to me .. ?

  • @gsrikar Common man we have to work with the west and not be arrogant enough to think we can develop everything? its just human behaviour to out do one another !!!

That was past, though I dont know which anti gravity you are talking about?

Its better to learn from the winner rather stand their all alone.....

  • @gsrikar what is anti gravity tech ??? anyone

  • @gsrikar ha ha

  • @gsrikar Yes you are right.. but most of our books were stored in Nalanda Vishwavidyala which was burnt down by invaders.. those books held the knowledge of various technologies even Nuclear Weapons(Brahmaastra). We would have been 100 times better than any other country only we had Nalanda!

  • its amazing............

  • tank you

  • it would be an amazing feeling to see indian flag on the moon..will wait for that day eagerly

  • @maneeshorama go india go......

  • pretty good stuff!!

  • very very very very very very very very goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood

  • this is great... how u got interest in developing this animation?...

  • Animation Project Objectives:

    1) Showcase India's space capabilities and give it life through animation... "a picture is worth a thousand words, an animation is worth a thousand pictures".

    2) Act as a catalyst to generate enthusiasm and support for the Chandrayaan project among a wide cross-section of the Indian and Global community.

    3) Act as an inspiration for the Indian youth to pursue excellence in leading / bleeding edge Science and Technology learning, research and innovation.

  • 4) Showcase Thejes and InChi Animation capabilities with a project that will appeal to a wide audience.

    5) Leverage Chandrayaan Animation for a Computer Based Training (CBT) module for students interested in Space Science & Technology.

    Hope this helps...

  • can u join isro if u r an nri?

  • You need to check with ISRO regarding their policy regarding NRI's working for them. However if you an NRI you can always apply for your OCI (Overseas Citizenship of India) and then there should be no issues working for ISRO.

Of course all individuals applying will very likely be subjected to stringent security checks

  • yes

  • from 4:25 to 5:12, why does it circle the earth and then the moon? Whats GTO, ETO, Trans lunar injection, mid course correction. Can anybody please help...I am a kid!!!

  • GTO = Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit

    ETO = Elliptical Transfer orbit

Please use search function on Google or another search engine, or go to Wikipedia to get these definitions and more details.

The official ISRO website on Chandrayaan may also provide more details.

There is too much details involved to be conveniently posted on YouTube comments.

  • thanks dev..........but what I really mean to ask is 'Why does it orbit the earth 2-3 times before it gets on to the final trajectory to moon and then why does it orbit the moon progressively to get closer to the surface? thanx

  • Earth Orbit Burns:

Chandrayaan-1 was sent to Moon in a series of orbit-increasing manoeuvres around Earth instead of a direct trajectory to the Moon. At launch the it was inserted into geostationary transfer orbit with an apogee of 22,860 km. The apogee was increased with a series of 5 orbit burns conducted over a period of 13 days after launch. The fifth orbit raising manoeuvre resuled in Chandrayaan-1 entering Lunar Transfer Trajectory with an apogee of about 380,000 km.

  • Lunar Orbit Insertion:

Then when Chandrayaan-1 was passing close to the moon it successfully completed the lunar orbit insertion operation. This manoeuvre took place when the spacecraft passed within 500 km from the Moon. The lunar orbit was then further reduced in series of 4 orbit reduction manoeuvres which successfully placed it into a mission-specific lunar polar orbit of 100 km above the lunar surface.

  • I believe this is a longer but more energy / fuel efficient way to get Chandrayaan-1 to the Moon (about 386,000 km away from Earth )using natural gravitational forces to successfully raise the elliptical orbit around the earth.

  • .... and Gautam, you certainly don't sound like a Kid. :)

  • Thankyou very myuch.....I truly appreciate this.

  • it would be awesome if we finally have a colony on the moon.

  • America is making one at the moment, it is called project Constellation, it will also put a man on mars.

  • i wish im still about at 2020 when the india has a man on moon landing.

    JAI HIND!!!!!

  • Excellent !!!

  • Makes me amazingly proud to be an Indian. You are the real heroes and script writers of our country's destiny. It also makes me feel very thankless to live out of India, and not being able to contribute to my motherland when she needs me the most. It hurts deeply to know that I've left my brothers and sisters to face life; But I promise I'll make up for it some way or other. Jai Hind

  • Just one word... Awesome !

This wasnt just the animation fr Chandrayaan mission, but also give a glimpse of where ISRO is headed.

    Fabulous Job !

    JAI HO!

  • ultimate..

  • Why India doesn't join ISS project? ISRO has enough technology and the great idea. I hope Japan invite India to the ISS project as an asian friend!

  • well that is definitely a very good idea..

  • proud to be INDIAN

  • Congrats India! Keep up the great work guys.

  • India Shining!!!!

  • Hats off to ISRO....proud moment for India!...

  • Thank Dev for uploading video presentation on Moon mission....

    Prod to be Indian.....

  • YESTERDAY i.e. 24-09-2009, NASA DECLARED THIS INDIAN MISSION AS "THE MOST SUCCESSFUL MOON MISSION EVER".

  • This is so improbable (statistically), that I'm forced to assume that NASA is desperately trying to steal the thunder of this great discovery from Indian scientists, hoping to avoid the "The Indians found it in their first-ever attempt, and you've been trying unsuccessfully for decades!" discussions... It almost feels like the NASA guys got scared when the Indians discovered water, and they quickly (fakely) inserted the names of their own probes alongside, to split the credit!

  • Please note that NASA has given due credit to ISRO and the Chandrayaan-1 Mission for it crucial part in this discovery. Furthermore an ISRO representative was present at the NASA news conference announcing this discovery.

It should also be note that M3 (Moon Mineralogy Mapper) was a NASA instrument that was integrated and carried onboard the Chandrayaan-1, and the scientific data was collected and transmitted back to Earth using Chandrayaan instrumentation.

  • Furthermore the scientific data analysis leading to the discovery was carried out by an US team.

Also 2 other spacecrafts orbiting the moon (from NASA and an ESA / NASA spacecraft) were jointly involved in the scientific experiments leading to this important discovery.

Instead of wasting our energy on bickering about who should get the credit.... we should all applaud this important discovery about the Moon.

  • I believe the credit should rightly go to all those involved in this discovery.... NASA, ISRO and ESA!!! Which is truly an amazing example of an international space collaboration / venture / team!

  • I was just watching NDTV.....

on the contrary there now appears to be some controversy over what triggered the recent "Discovery" announcement of the larger than expected quantities of Water on the Moon.

It appears ISRO is now claiming that the Moon Impact Probe (MIP) launched from the Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft on 14 Nov, 2008 (while orbiting the moon) was the first to detect substantial presence of Water.

  • It is now claimed that the MIP tracked and transmitted the chemical signature of H2O indicating presence of water particles from the Moon's equator to it's impact point on the Shackelton Crater, now renamed "Jawaharlal Point".

The MIP impacted the Lunar South Pole on 14 November, 2008 releasing subsurface debris that was very likely further analyzed for the presence of water ice.

  • I am a bit disappointed and wondering as to why ISRO had to wait this long to make this discovery announcement. We need to watch to see how all this plays out.

  • oh my goodness....Inventions like theses really makes me Proud to be an INDIAN.......great work from ISRO.....

  • Dev, ISRO might not have been sure at the time what the MIP was showing. Once M3's results came out, it was much easier to interpret the existing data to confirm what M3 showed most clearly. Likewise, NASA has now reinterpreted data taken from Cassini years ago to show it had also observed water on the Moon.

  • Hi Mano,

I agree that what you have pointed out is highly plausible.

But I am also left wondering if there was "no sense of urgency" previously (at ISRO) to get the MIP results interpreted, validated and published.... that is until NASA beat us to the announcement with the M3 findings

  • Hi Dev,

I'm hoping that there'll be more spectacular discoveries to come. Who really knows how many are waiting, unless we go there? There could be even greater concentrations of water in colder permanently shadowed regions at the poles. Chandrayaan-2 might help us to find out, but its rover would need an RTG for power, instead of solar panels.

  • I hope so too... about more Spectacular Discoveries.

I am waiting hear about Helium 3.

  • In a sensational scientific discovery, India's maiden lunar mission Chandrayaan-1 has found evidence of water on the moon.

"The moon has distinct signatures of water," top American scientist Carle Pieters confirmed Thursday.

"The evidence of water molecules on the surface of the moon was found by the moon mineralogy mapper (M3) of the US-based NASA on board Chandrayaan-1," M3 principal investigator Carle Pieters said in a paper published in the journal Science.

  • This is indeed Fabulous News... truly an important and groundbreaking discovery that will provide further insight into the origins of the Moon and impetus for further manned exploration !!!

Hopefully this will now silence the "Nay Sayers" who were critical of ISRO and the Chandrayaan-1 Mission when it had to be cut short due to technical issues.

  • Why did India use PSLV to end the Chandrayan1 into Lunar orbit while I think so GSLV would have been better as it is designed for high altitude launches with better motor with heigher thrust that is made by using Liquid Hydrogen and Oxygen

  • Its really a nice vedio to watch and hats off to the creators and technical team who had put the efforts to build this video.

  • Didn't NASA leave the lunar rovers behind on the moon? I'd like to see those in pictures rather than tracks made by their wheels.

  • 'No Conspiracy in U.S. Moon Mission'- Chandrayaan-1

In a considerable downer for space conspiracy theorists, Chandrayaan-1's terrain-mapper camera has recorded images of the landing site of U.S. spaceship Apollo 15 and tracks of its lunar rovers that were used by astronauts to travel on moon's surface nearly four decades ago, a scientist said Wednesday.

Images captured by the hyper-spectral camera on board Chandrayaan-1 debunked conspiracy theories that have claimed Apollo 15 was a hoax.

  • Hi Dev,

I think India should try to deploy a balloon on Mars, to aerially survey for water, nitrogen, methane, etc. Balloon technology is cheap to research, and could even have useful applications here on Earth (telecom "stratellites", aerostats, etc). The US does a lot of balloon experiments in Antarctica, and India also has a base there, which could be useful. A platform floating in the upper atmosphere could be used to train astronauts for long endurance exposure to "near space" conditions.

  • India is sending a sattelite to Mars between 2013-2015.

  • India plans Mission to Mars !!!

Bangalore: India will embark on an unmanned mission to Mars after 2015 to explore the red planet in quest of its space ambitions.

Clarifying the statement made by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman G. Madhavan Nair on the Mars mission, the space official said such a mission was not feasible before 2015 as the space agency will be pre-occupied with its second lunar mission (Chandrayaan-2) in 2013 and a manned mission to space by 2015.

  • before sending man to the moon isro has to test their machine to their limits, they has to know about their strength and weakness.they done everything.its done.

  • A Salute to Chandrayaan-1 and ISRO...... Over 95% of the Mission Objectives Successfully Completed!!!

On to Chandrayaan-II (Lunar Lander & Rover), Indian Manned Space Flight, Indian Manned Moon Landing and then on Mars....

    Jai Hind!!! =(((O)))=

  • mission is finally over - unsuccessful mission.

  • You have got it absolutely Wrong....

On the contrary Chandrayaan-1 is an extremely Successful project !!!:

    (1) MIP (Moon Impact Probe) with the "Indian Flag" planted on the Moon.

    (2) Excellent Technology Demonstrator for ISRO / India.

    (3) Although Mission only completed 10 months (versus planned 24 months)... many Images & scientific data have already been transmitted by Chandrayaan-1.

    (4) Compared with NASA and USSR track record during the initials Moon shots... far more Successful!

  • it has given india some really valuable lessons...and we hope chandrayaan 2 will be able to last long...n yeah 95% of the obj were completed

  • You are absolutely right about the "Lessons Learned". Any complex technology, mission or activity carries with it a "Risk" for errors ...but that is the process of continuous improvement to "Excellence".

Based on some comments here... unfortunately, it appears the truth behind this process of continuous learning and path to excellence is not self evident to some.

  • 90 95 % of datas r collected...hosted Indian flag in moon ..then it was a success....my frnd ..try to say Jai hind

  • there will be a day when even such things get outsourced!!!! we may just take over the space industry coz our technology is world class and costs as u all know 1/10th the normal!!!! so like other industries we MAY take over this one too....!!!!

  • I am not sure if Space Science & Technology is something that will ever be fully "outsourced" in the foreseeable future.

It is a strategic, cutting edge technology that most leading nations will always want to maintain a lead through indigenous R&D.

However ISRO has already successfully entered the "commercial" satellite / payload launch sector as a viable & proven alternative through the ANTRIX corporation.

  • Where can I find pictures of Indian Flag on Moon?

  • I doubt there are any photos since the Moon Impact Probe (MIP) with the Indian Flag was jettisoned from about 100 km above the Moon.

  • Good Presentation and Nice music.

  • when ill be old and my grand children will ask me about stars ill tel them the success story of more then 450 satellites and chandrayaan I and II im lucky became the witness of Indian space research program's success thanx to ISRO

and thanx to all those Honest indians we will make world a better place

  • PSLV, you beauty you !! Go on and touch the stars, The hearts of a Billion Indians is with you.

  • This is just the beginning, we are gonna blast Mars and then beyond!!! Hello from DCE!!

  • Bharat was passive since the Guptas declined. I'm 25 and I'm fucking ready to sacrifice my life for the big mom. Go Bharat.

  • Great Job..........

  • i live in a hostel..most people watch football matches@3pm in the night...but no one got up to see chandrayaan launch..sad.

btw my coll was rated top20 in asia.

  • Great video!, india is the best. i love india and indian people. INDIA is geratest country in the world.

  • amazing amazing.. just amazing... Go India.....!!!!!!

  • Great job India! I had no idea they had also sent a probe to our Moon. I love it. This makes 5 countries that have sent stuff to the Moon now.

    GO INDIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Indeed MR.Craig, but only 4 nations have been able to station the flag of their nation successfully on the Moon: USA, Soviet Union, Japan and INDIA!

    GO INDIA!!!

  • Sorry buddy you are forgetting China in this list. btw i m indian.

  • True... China has also sent an unmanned spacecraft to the Moon. But to clarify further.... I don't believe they have yet planted their national flag on the moon.

  • ya you are right, they haven't planted their flag on the moon.

  • Great video! That would be really cool when India accomplish all of this. The more countries will reach the moon the better.

  • Very good music choice and inspiring Video..

    I feel CHARGED !!!!!

    Thank you for posting...

  • Bharat mata ki Jai !! Shri Ramchandra ki Jai !!... God Bless India...

  • Amazing.....very good..... It is one of the best best videos in my life....... All The Best for this Mission.... Thank U....

  • awesome!!...jai hind!...hope to be the astronaut in the first manned mission

  • I doubt how feasible a safe manned moon mission to the moon will be? (with strong doubts on earlier manned moon missions) Shielding from the,Van allen belts for a near equatorial orbit, dangerous high energy cosmic rays (upto 10^19 eV ,UHECR), are almost impossible by the present day technology. Tested Vertical landing space craft still not developed, which is a big challenge in itself. May be the ISRO in high spirits will do that, with good hope.
