Yeah, I think the problem with the green movement is that they supply no feasible alternative. They have no call to action - they are saying something needs to be done without focusing on what that something is. They should make it themselves and not be trying to go to the government, they can make the reformation so much easier and effective if they bring about the innovations themselves.
The "something" that needs to be done is government intervention: rules and regulations. Free-market -thinking executives have never put an emphasis on the environment. We'd still be belching filth into the sky from steel mills in Pittsburgh if it wasn't for regulation. Look at where deregulation and free markets got us with the credit crisis.
i agree, and am focusing on the problem of marketability of being green. At its core a government is a reflection of a people, this makes the government a secondary decider. For my own belief in the future i rely on myself as a icon. This means i don't fly, don't drive, i bike, recycle, choose to eat and buy
because you don't market your findings in the way they like to be marketed to. Ya gotta put more boobs n muscle into it! But to be honest.. I think you're fighting a losing battle. Populations are dumbing down so... maybe you should just focus on saving states that aren't so dumbed down so they may lead by example...

People don't care about going green. Most care more about what is convenient.
