I never really liked The Cure, I would always take one look at the singer and change the channel when they were on MTV back in the day.

However I did hear their original version of this quite a few times (my girlfriend's best friend loved The Cure), and I think 311 improved on it quite a bit.

Cleaner vocals and harmonies IMO, and like a 200% improvement in the bass line (dropping it down an octave where it should have been anyway, and absolutely KILLER bass tone!).

There's a huge 'mellow reggae' feel to the song that wasn't in the original...
