  • great song and a great remix awesome j h g m

  • Love DC5!!!!

  • VERY AWESOME. I AM GLAD ALL OVER AND I AM NOT GOING INTO BITS AND PIECES lol xx

  • The FIRST group that i remember that got the drums in the mix where they should be!! One of the best bands of all time...R.I.P. Mike Smith and Denis Payton.

  • absolutley brilliant, love it .

  • didnt think this was gonna be that good steve, but it was actually quite awesome!! Made me feel good too and made my day too landia! Ty Steve babes!! Old school rocks!!

  • @JessieKat4004 Thanks my friend!

  • @JessieKat4004

I start my day with. It makes me happy.

  • Awesome re-mix!!

  • This Is MIKE SMITH!

  • I am Dave Clark and my first name is legally "Dave". every 1 seems to try to correct my name for me and they write down DAVId (I say) there's no "id" in DAVE . I was not named after David from the Bible.. I was named after DAVE CLARK FIVE and i am blessed for that name. ( ((( LOVE the MUSIC though))))

  • love it. even though im as old as they are famous in the USA!!!

  • i love this band.far better looking and sounding than the beatles.the 1960s had more than just the beatles .i believe these were a better group altogether.god bless you dc5.!!

  • dc5 was my fav in 1964 1st song i ever rocked to bits and pieces i was 10!

  • @steve89z i always liked these better than the beatles but thats an opinion that may not be shared by everyone.

  • my feelings also.i never liked the beatles which i find weird but,dc5 1st band i rocked to bits pieces 1964 i was 10! the drum beat got me!

  • @steve89z i get a bit cheesed off with the 60s and beatles thing.there were many great bands of the sixties and the DC5 were one of them.the DC5 were a smarter looking group.and ringo starr didnt fit with the beatles at all.they should of kept pete best..but thats history now.for me the DC5 were always a better sounding band.

  • @MrArnold1972 Actually Ringo did fit. Pete was a good drummer but didn't have the personality to fit with the other 3. Ringo did and wasn't a bad drummer either. As John put it"Pete was a good drummer but Ringo was a good Beatle"

  • @pavlikj i have nothing against the beatles.they were great but im just speaking from a personal point of view and i thought dc5 looked better and had a unique sound.why wouldnt pete best make a good beatle???strange.

  • Erm, this doesn't sound like The Dave Clark Five, and I'm not talking about it being a remix. Is this supposed to be a cover? It's definitely not the original recordings mixed together. Those are new performances in there. Is that steve01274 singing?

  • Fantastic job on this Steve:)

  • ROCK & ROLL DC5 , IT'S GREAT

  • Steve wow this is a GREAT remix! Unbelievably good, this was a great surprise to hear and trully made my day! Thank you!

  • Gald you enjoyed It.

  • Great mix, very nice!! I am "glad all over" you posted this!! thanks!!

  • This band flat out KICKED ROYAL ASS.Long live the British invasion from a Big fan from America. This music still sounds as fresh today as it did in 1964.EXCELLENT is an under statement.

  • even with hall of fame induction...very underrated band.

  • Mike,your voice really nice!

  • always liked the dave clark 5,,,,,,

  • Right. I understand this is a mix. But where are these alternate versions of the songs from? ("Glad All Over", Bits and Pieces" and "Do You Love Me"). This mix was made from alternate takes...not the same as the US releases.

  • WeekendinLondon, this isn't the DC5 group itself nor alternate takes or mixes from the DC5. This is actually a solo medley from the great Mike Smith - the lead singer from the DC5. He made this solo tune in 1985. It was on a maxi-lp and he also did his own solo remakes of those other songs you've mentioned. That being said, Long live the DC5! (and we certainly miss Mike and Denny).

  • Thanks for the info Chez! I was at B.B. Kings club for the Mike Smith Tribute show which let out at 4:30 a.m.!! What a night! Mike Smith was the one guy I really idolized as a kid ijthe 60's. I wound up plays keys in a band and now I teach kids rock keyboard. Thanks Mike, Denny, Dave, Rick & Lenny. The Tottenham sound still rules!

  • For downright grit and verve, few vocalists, if any, can match Mike Smith. Check out "You got what it takes". Not bad for a white boy.

  • This "medley mix" is absolutely fantastic. I'd love to have this on CD. Anybody know if it's available on CD?

  • This is for all the kiddies from todays generation sorry you didnt come from this planet of music. Long live the sixties british invasion.

  • I would like to apologize to Dave Clark for the comments I posted regarding his business dealings with the band. I shouldn't believe all the things I read. I saw Dave and Lenny and Rick on the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, and I believe the love and sincerity shown by the guys towards each other was real and genuine. Forgive me, Dave.

  • An absolutely PERFECT introduction from Tom Hanks, moving and funny at the same time. DC was humble/sincere in his comments about all the members of the DC5. Had a lump in my throat/and a tear in my eye as he spoke about Denis and Mike. Lenny and Rick were great in their acceptance comments as well, especially when Rick thanked Dave for always "pushing, pushing us..someday we'll make it and be famous..and now we are", hugged DC and said, "Bless you". Congrats to the DC5-class acts!!!

  • You were right the first time. The other guys don't get a dime from the CD reissues that have followed the Hall induction. No wonder Lenny Davidson went 30 years without speaking to Dave Clark. He cheated the guys in the '60s and he's doing the same thing 45 years later.

  • Elected today for induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Congrats dudes!

  • Great mix; I'm starting to read a lot of the dark side of the DC5, mainly the business dealings of Dave Clark towards the other guys in the band. What a shame. If it weren't for Mike Smith's voice, there'd be NO hits. I agree with the comments about the R&R Hall of Fame crap: what a sham and a JOKE. Bunch of no-talent slugs inducted after being around a few years. the DAVE CLARK FIVE RULE! End of story. Peace be with Mike and Denny's families.

  • They may have been overlooked but not upstaged with these more inferior bands and musicians whose music is shelved and forgotten after a meteoric rise to brief fame and popularity. Now, the RR organizers are coming to their senses and could no longer hide their ignorance and insensibility to those who deserve the better accolade. Truly, the DC 5 Rocks and their music will continue to roll like rolling stones gathering no moss.

  • This is not actually a DC5 group mix itself, but a great 1985 re-recorded solo version by Mike Smith(lead singer of the DC5) on an EP that Mike did(I have it). He also re-recorded a couple of other of DC5 hits on it.

  • Mike, say hello to George and John.

You are with the best now.

    RIP ... won't forget your music !!

  • Mike Smith, tell Dennis hello for us! We miss you!!

  • Shame that it takes the death of a group member to put the DC5 back into the limelight - their unique brand of music should be sufficient to do that.

RIP Mike .... Good 'Ole Tottenham Boy!

  • The DC5 are without question one of the greatest groups in rock 'n' roll history. Why it took until 2008 -- AFTER lead singer Mike Smith's death -- for them to enter the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame is CRIMINAL -- especially considering the hordes of NON-rockers and non=talents who HAVE been inducted. The DC5, other than "Because," were ALWAYS PURE rock 'n' roll. No one knew that-- except the only critics who count -- the public.

  • Like the great Van Gogh, Mike Smith and the DC5s genius was only recognized long after the demise of the the artist. Make no mistake about it- the DC 5 need not worry of of those whose mediocre and rubbish music have catapulted them to the Hall of Fame( Shame maybe). The DC Five have long been there at the top with the many accolades and the sheer number of records they have sold in the millions, a feat that is hard to equal, untold fans whose lives have been touched by their music.

  • Sad to say, one of the reasons why the DC5 today are less recognized than they deserve is -- Dave Clark! A shrewd businessman, Dave retained ownership of all their hits -- and after the group's run ended, refused to allow their reissue for decades! Not until the 2 CD set on Hollywood Records were the tracks available on CD. Why he did this is hard to understand -- but with only worn 45s and LPs to program from, most radio stations simply gave up playing the DC5 and keeping their legacy alive.

  • RIP Mike

  • That is awesome. RIP Mike.

  • RIP Mike Smith -X-

You're music will live throughout Selhurst 'till the end of time'

    EEEEEEEAGLES:D

  • Poor Mike Smith just died.

  • This is a different version of GAO you are using too. What is this from?

  • Great remix of some of the DC5's music!

I wonder who really played on their studio recordings?

How many out of the 5 actualy played the music we all heard?

  • On 10 March 2008, the band will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

  • Awesome stuff! Thanks for sharing it. Can't wait for the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. A LONG OVERDUE recognition. I hear Mike Smith plans to be there. I'm sure many would love to see him!

  • Holy Crap!! That was simply amazing! It got me jumping around in my chair, playing air drums. This band belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and this will be their year....finally. Thanks for an audio treat like no other!

  • Diiferent versions from the regular stuff - very nice.
