Oh, this seems like a solid use of taxpayer money. Let's get the legislature involved in screwing the publishing companies out of money. Honestly, we've all seen that getting the government involved in the free market is always a good idea (airlines, mortgage industry, etc).
Publishing companies can barely compete with the internet as it is, so I say we remove more of their revenue potential. Of all the ways consumers get screwed, books are definitely the worst, right?
