I think one of the reasons that a percentage of those on the right despise people like Sen. Kennedy is that they know deep down that they, and those they support politically, lack the basic human decency, courage and sense of fairness that Teddy personifies. you can vote starting at age 18 ,low-income people get help with heating their homes in the winter ,states control curriculum of your kids' schools, the federal government funds cancer research,girls/women can sportsl at school, disabled people have better access to buildings and can't be discriminated against,soldiers in Iraq have the proper armor, women cant be fired for being pregnant...all this and much more is what Ted Kennedy leaves us. He will be missed.
