So yes, as a wiccan i believe in Evil Spirits, there is a balance of light and darkness. However, i do not believe in a hierarchy of demons or a devil leader, I believe these Evil spirits are created from man. Have a video explaining it on my channel.
I would like to day that the waxing year is the time when we look to our light half and focus on creativity, inspiration, wellness, and all things physical. And the waning year is the time when we look to our darker half, or higher self, when we focus on our connection to Deity and all things spiritual. So because Samhain is the biggest of the waning sabbats this is a good time to get connected to your higher self.

@Nnapulitano73 Im fairly new to the practice, but there are no "good" and "bad" practictioners, you can't do anything negative because it will comeback to you threefold, and it is against the golden rule do as you will as long as it harms none. I believe there are good and "bad" spirits out there because they are good and bad people on earth and sometimes they get stuck in between the worlds and have not yet left those earthly qualities behind.

There isn't a strict dualism of good vs. evil in Wicca/Witchcraft. The God and Goddess aren't the leaders of the "good spirits" in opposition to the "evil spirits", but rather two different aspects of nature, roughly comparable to Yin and Yang. There are no "devils", simply angry spirits or spirits who lost their way.
hi flora! im new to paganism and i was just wondering when you make an offering, what do you do with the food when your done? also, when you have your god and goddess i thought you were just supposed to honor them and not another one for a particular celebration? im so confused :/
@Nnapulitano73 hey I know this question is VERY old but I think I can help you. From what I've seen the "evil" in pagan religions is in a person's intention. So anyone who intentionally harms another with magic. Throwing curses around and that sort of thing. However as far as I've seen there is no demons or evil leaders consistently through the various pagan beliefs. So pagans do believe in evil it is just the evil of someone's intent rather than a devil figure or evil spirits.

However, there is a big different between "light and dark" and "good and evil." That is putting a layer of personal beliefs and opinions on top of what simply IS, which is the light/dark and nature. So we believe in light/dark, but not good/evil and so there are no "evil spirits" let alone one leader of them.
We don´t believe in evil spirits or in any kind of "leader of teh dark side" because the whole concept about the dark side is something that is so catolic that dosen´t make sense to our beliefs.
The balance that u mention is not between good and evil, but between lighy and shadown and we don´t believe the light to be good and the shadow to be evil, the two sides are just part of nature and are inside everyone.
And evil spirits could be another way of saying 'hexes' or 'bad luck' or something... at least that's what I think. ^-^ Basically, those that wish you ill, could try to send 'evil spirits' your way.

I'm always confused on offerings. When is it appropriate to dispose of them? For the meal, for example, I presume when the table is being cleaned that is an appropriate time. Offerings on an alter? Is it acceptable to just dump the offerings in the garbage? Again, offerings always confused me as they are never truely taking or consumed. I feel uneasy in regards to them.
well i can offer some advice on what my daughter and I do for offerings. We have them on our altar during the day of and during ritual, then afterwards we bring them outside to our backyard and place them around the treeline for our animal neighbors. When we didn't have a yard we did the same by going to our favorite wild place and offering there.

PS I'm so jealous of your house and yard. What a huge yard! I wish I had space for a garden. Also don't have space for the many things used in each celebration through out the year. I am tempted to make some egg shakers but don't want to have to throw them out. We need an appartment dweller witch adviser on youtube too!

I'm always confused on offerings. When is it appropriate to dispose of them? For the meal, for example, I presume when the table is being cleaned that is an appropriate time. Offerings on an alter? Is it acceptable to just dump the offerings in the garbage? Again, offerings always confused me as they are never truely taking or consumed. I feel uneasy in regards to them.

well i can offer some advice on what my daughter and I do for offerings. We have them on our altar during the day of and during ritual, then afterwards we bring them outside to our backyard and place them around the treeline for our animal neighbors. When we didn't have a yard we did the same by going to our favorite wild place and offering there.

Fabulous ideas for the Sabbat. I keep wanting to erect an ancestor altar, but I can't get my mother to give me pictures of my grandparents!!! She always says she will, and then I never get them!
