Hi from England by the way. (people seem to randomly like declaring their nationalities so what the hell . . .)
What is this for now? This famous chorus was once the voice of the Russian-Soviet Empire.
Now it is available for all, as an entertainment on the "capitalist" driven internet. Marx and Lenin were men with delusions. Stalin was only a monster. American ways, music, manners, ideas, and tastes have spread throughout the world. Cry if you want to, but you cannot deny it. The world wants the Last Man.
My family lost 2 people in Siberia, 4 were in Gulags, They were Polish . Stalin and Lenin as well communist system were not Russian. Those songs are very Russian and we love them

Death to racists? You mean like the racist Communist pigs who wiped out whole Central Asian races during Joseph Stalin's reign? Or to the racist chinese communist scums who are destroying Tibetean & Mongolian cultures right now? You mean those truely racist pigs?
Comunist or not the soviet union fought untill the death against the nazis, 27 million people died in wwii more than any other country, due to their sacrifices you are not speaking german, i hope russia could take the place of a powerfull country that urss had, and equilibrate with usa
Uh , let see during World War I and II . The country was ruled by a communist , wasnt it ?
These men had to be involved in the war or either sons of the men who were in the war. Had to be Russian , no , to be in the army, Such as hitler . He wanted pure men of one ethnic. Same with Russia ,no ? These are the sons of Russians . Russian ancestors ; family. Born in Russia (My opinion I dont hear any other accent in there voice but Russian, )
No. During WWI, it was run by a Tsar, and during WWII, it was ruled by a Fascist worse than Hitler who said he was a Communist. But you can believe what you will.
But my point was that the Red Army had soldiers from all of the SSR's. The USSR wasn't ONLY the Russian SFSR, you know.
And I'm sure you only hear Russian accents because these guys weren't actually in the Red Army.
Anyway, couldn't you at least call it the Red SOVIET Army? There's a difference between Russian and Soviet, you know.

fuck you. when your kind was running in the streets like dogs the russians were introducing one of the cleanest and most wonderful revolution in all human kind history. long live communism...down with capitalism
Fuck you with your Revolution. The Sovjet-Union has stayed a shithole for like over 40 years, and nothing changed in that time. It stayed one big shithole, with the same boring cars&falling old buildings.
Engineer friend from 'Westinghouse', went over to Russia right after Chernobyl, to help in redesigning and fixing the safety's on all of the other working reactors. The Techs were all addicted to the alcohol that was 'used' to rinse down the control rods. They were pretty much wasted and sleeping after a couple of hours. Maybe the reason for the 'Big Cher' Bar BQ? and The oil field Blowouts we went over to fix? They must really like the Vodka sauce? BTW I like this music.
It's nice to see that I am not alone in my admiration in the BEST of Russian music!
A "half Bucket of Vodka," huh? I remember some kids at my school once got some chemical alcohol and they drank that and ended up in hospital! And we have BIG buckets in Texas. I bet the Russians do to. I have never found vodka to be particularly sweet however. They must have a better quality there.
What is the TRANSLATION of this song -- or at least the title, please, for those of us who do not SPEAK or READ Russian, please?
I really like this guy! Any of these singers could STAR in ANY opera and they are a lot of fun to watch as well. How anybody could see & hear this and not like Russians is a mystery to me. I don't quite understand them 100 percent but I feel a lot differently about them than the propaganda I grew up with! I can acturally see and hear them!
Yes I remember the propaganda but don't be fooled. Russia or the former USSR has a very rich culture, excellent music and people who are stout of heart. Rather strive always to be a citizen of the world ;) Who can ignore all their their creativity attention to detail. Who can ignore Tolstoy Chekhov Bulgarkov Pasternak? Tchaikovsky Profokiev Rachmanovich sp? only a fool with no appreciation of what beauty is or of what to aspire to

Hi Girl ,I don't have these files but if you wish I can convert them to you to mp3 or to a dvd and upload them so that you can burn them on DVD or CD .. with pleasure
This song shows off the sound of a true Slavic Bass Baritone. This is a unique sound produced only by Slavs. Remember you can take the Slav out of their country but they will always remain Slavic!
americans made by wars everywhere in the world apres Iraq it is in the turn of Iran (for its foundation before) and North Korea and China to attack Russia finally guarantor of equilibrium of to cross with blocks him of the Union Sovietic which Putin wants to restorer,Putin Glory President-

I never realized how loveable, musicially talented, intelligent that these Russian soldiers are. I always imagined some sort of monsters wanting kill me when I was a kid but these guys are NOT monsters. They are singers, musicians and probably very nice guys--officers and gentlemen! Like any other officers in the military.
Dude, you can thank Mcarthy. The red scare is still alive in the US, it is a fear of everything from Russian culture to any leftist political ideology. Russians are humans, and there are plenty of americans, myself included, who are part Russian.
I like this singer! I wonder if the Red Army Band and Chorus has any idea that their music is being heard all over the world and that people really like their music! I can say that I like their music a lot!
To WooDooMoGul: 1. Those who lose their identity will be used to build identity to someone else. Looks like you regret you exchanged yours for something else. 2. To communicate you would need to have a message. Do you have one? Looks like these guys do. Or you just want to sell something?;)
Like every other child in my generation,we were trained to HATE Russians, especially RUSSIANS! I heard nothing but BAD things about Russians. I came here to see if they were even human and instead I see military guys singing with all their heart wanting to be liked and have people enjoy their music...I am a musician too and i hear things average listeners dont'/ can't appreciate which makes me LOVE what they can do! But I am still afraid of them! HATE? Probably.
People are people because the SAME ENTITY MADE ALL OF US! I like this guy. He sings good. He looks good. The music sounds good. I don't know much about Russian folk music except these look like nice people having fun.
It is difficult for me to hate & fear them. I think they would kill me in an instant though.
I've always admired Russian male choir. I've traveled over half of the world. Now please bear with me =)... I have dear friends in Tomsk, Siberia, and Kharkov, Ukraine ... she loves her Cossacks who helped create Gorod Tomsk. My best friend defected from Poland in 1981. My dad, an American Caucasian, sang much like this man =) Isn't it all great? Enjoy today! Who knows what tomorrow will bring? In 50 years I've seen some bad things. This is a good thing. Just enjoy. Don't take it for granted!!!
Could America ever show so much passion and sincerity! perhaps in one thousand years of existence. Till then, just look up to Russia and wonder at their majesty and Establishment.
Your last sentence is so true. My father, who had Bosnian origins, was born, raised and lived most of his life in muslim Turkey but he always stayed slavic. When I went to Russia and met russian people, I was amazed to see how similar his character was to the slavs even though he had never been to any slavic country.
I love russia, their culture, hisry, language, food, and traditions. im irish and polish but i wish i was part russian too.KUDOS FROM AMERICA,AND PEACE TO THE WORLD.
Tired of these boring sites with no action? want to meet real ladies in your local area? find your sexy match today, it's FREE to join > YOURSEXYMATCH dot COM
that's not true. It's big simplification. We Poles also don't hate Russians and Ukrainians. I think you should read some English-written books of Ukrainian, Russian and Polish authors about Kievan Rus, Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Cossacks, Russian reign over Ukraine and finally (it's most important) about newest history.
All nations are just social constructs based on geography and culture. In today's world they just halt progress and put a serious dint into communications efficiency.
You people need to take your silly arguments somewhere other than the youtube comments of a video that doesn't even require them. Either enjoy the video, or don't.
Russian is a big country - well, everyone know that. Mostly, there are living slavs as well as in other countriers. However, there are other nations - asians and mongols (sorry, if i miss anything).
well, to be honest, word "slav" is almost same as word "slave", but meanings are so different.

TRUTH ABOUT STALIN
(I am Historian, have master's degree on Russian history)
Comrade Stalin killed lot of traitors in Communist Party.
Bad people joined the party because they wanted to make career.
They searched "enemies of nation" and killed them - to earn reputation!
Example: Khrushchev killed thousands of innocent Ukraine people,
and wanted kill more, but Stalin send him letter with words "Stop that, idiot!"
After the death of Stalin, Khrushchev came to power and blamed Stalin for all crimes

Fuck you with your Revolution. The Sovjet-Union has stayed a shithole for like over 40 years, and nothing changed in that time. It stayed one big shithole, with the same boring cars&falling old buildings.
So long live Capitalism.

Blogengezer 3 years ago
It's nice to see that I am not alone in my admiration in the BEST of Russian music!
A "half Bucket of Vodka," huh? I remember some kids at my school once got some chemical alcohol and they drank that and ended up in hospital! And we have BIG buckets in Texas. I bet the Russians do to. I have never found vodka to be particularly sweet however. They must have a better quality there.
joeocho88 3 years ago 5
Naturally. Vodka translates into alchohol there. One can assume that is the birthplace of vodka!
LordBrauner 3 years ago
Birthplace of vodka is Poland, everyone knows that...

I can acturally see and hear them!
joeocho88 3 years ago
Yes I remember the propaganda but don't be fooled. Russia or the former USSR has a very rich culture, excellent music and people who are stout of heart. Rather strive always to be a citizen of the world ;) Who can ignore all their their creativity attention to detail. Who can ignore Tolstoy Chekhov Bulgarkov Pasternak? Tchaikovsky Profokiev Rachmanovich sp? only a fool with no appreciation of what beauty is or of what to aspire to

That's old Russian party and revelry song.
Down Piterskaya(Str.), down Tverskaya,
Down Yamskaya and with little bell, ekh!
My darling one rides on troika,
My dear one rides through the byroad, ekh!
I was on the feast in the summerhouse,
I was drinking not mead, but sweet vodka, ekh!
Young woman, all the liquer I was drinking from a half-bucket.

That's not ice cracking,
That's not mosquito squeaking,
But kum (godfather) to kuma (godmather)
Is carrying a pike-perch.
Hey, my dear kuma,
Boil the pike-perch,
Make a fish-soup,
Nice fish-soup with parsley.
And kiss me, my dear kumushka.

The true Kalakoltchik :
The "real" Kolokoltschik...

This song shows off the sound of a true Slavic Bass Baritone. This is a unique sound produced only by Slavs. Remember you can take the Slav out of their country but they will always remain Slavic!

I never realized how loveable, musicially talented, intelligent that these Russian soldiers are. I always imagined some sort of monsters wanting kill me when I was a kid but these guys are NOT monsters. They are singers, musicians and probably very nice guys--officers and gentlemen! Like any other officers in the military.
joeocho88 4 years ago 24
Dude, you can thank Mcarthy. The red scare is still alive in the US, it is a fear of everything from Russian culture to any leftist political ideology. Russians are humans, and there are plenty of americans, myself included, who are part Russian.

HATE? Probably.
joeocho88 4 years ago
"trained" to hate as a child!? man.... that's just sick.

I've never been to Russia, but I know the Russian people have always lived a hard life.
For this reason they have learned to love and savour life; every minute of it.
As a Lebanese, I know what it's like when a people suffers in life yet loves it as well, in our ancient land so laden with perils.

Your last sentence is so true. My father, who had Bosnian origins, was born, raised and lived most of his life in muslim Turkey but he always stayed slavic. When I went to Russia and met russian people, I was amazed to see how similar his character was to the slavs even though he had never been to any slavic country.

why you ukrainians hate the russians so much?
kord82 4 years ago
that's not true. It's big simplification. We Poles also don't hate Russians and Ukrainians. I think you should read some English-written books of Ukrainian, Russian and Polish authors about Kievan Rus, Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Cossacks, Russian reign over Ukraine and finally (it's most important) about newest history.
best regards from Poland :)

All nations are just social constructs based on geography and culture. In today's world they just halt progress and put a serious dint into communications efficiency.

Russian is a big country - well, everyone know that. Mostly, there are living slavs as well as in other countriers. However, there are other nations - asians and mongols (sorry, if i miss anything).
well, to be honest, word "slav" is almost same as word "slave", but meanings are so different.
