In europe, spectator fatalities are common at rally events. In europe, spectators stand at the outside of turns, even after multiple cars have slid off the road in that spot. In europe, people sit at their computers and try to make baseless comparisons.

Engineer's corner is good for at least one crash each year. I haven't been able to make it up there the last 2 years (stopped @ 8 mile cause I need to be in the pits when the cars come down), but hopefully a new bike next year I will be able to make it up there again. Almost got taken out at Engineer's a few years ago when they had the drift cars doing an exibition to the picnic grounds and back.

Actually, what happened is that they had the tire pressures too low and when the car began to turn, the tire rolled under the wheel, the rim hit the asphalt and it caused him to slide. But we didn't learn that for a while after the wreck.

I think karma caught up with the Fiestas. During the week, they were talking so much smack, pretty much saying that it would be unheard of if they didn't break the ten minute barrier. Looks like it caught up to them, neither made it up unscathed.

But Eriksson and his co-driver are really nice guys, they signed my program and my copy of Forza Motorsport 2!
