  • I love this scene, it's actually cute when the head Dalek calls for the new Dalek to not allow more than 3 of them to be seen together at once. :D I really feel the monologue at the end was the inspiration for the famous one in Genesis of the Daleks, where one of Davros' first Daleks proclaims they'll become the supreme power in the universe. =D

  • I really REALLY want to watch this episode. That one surviving episode of The Web Of Fear is absolute torture!

  • one thing why is there a chair lol

  • Excellent CG. When the video first started, I wasn't sure if it was someone's physical model.

  • wheres the gun?

  • Brilliant!

  • Oh I wish this story still existed.

  • the daleks are so awesome. dalek! Dalek! DALEK! EXTERMINATE!!!

  • Great job. 5 stars.

  • Amazing animation!

  • i hate bbc for deleting this :(

  • Comment removed

  • @Predatorbringsdeath I can't believe the BBC deleted it either!

  • ive always liked the book of this.more animated episodes would be wonderfull

  • How come the Daleks don't have thier guns in them????

  • @GTAIVFan17 They are pretending to be subservient to the humans until they have gathered enough strength to strike. The Doctor is constantly trying to warn people but nobody listens until the exterminations begin!

It is a crying shame this story was destroyed. Maybe they could try some kind of animated remake, using telesnaps, imagination, scripts etc? It would be better than nothing.

  • @BrionyCoote like this weeks episode

  • you should consider reanimating an entire missin ep cause these are seriously awesome!!!

  • amazing

  • th BBC should hire u 2 re-animate th lost story 4 a special dvd release

  • i like how the camera bumps at the end, like the original :D

  • the daleks olny have 1 arm

  • That's correct. In the story the Daleks have removed their weapons because they are trying to maintain a pretence of benevolence.

  • o ok thx

  • man, unfortunatley I wasn't born to see these episodes, why'd they have to get lost?

  • They didn't get lost, they got destroyed, not enough room in the BBC Archives, nobody realised that within a few years everyone would have video recorders in their houses.

  • on dr who wiki it explians that a dalek killed someone and lesterson removed the gun and he might have done it with the others

  • Perfect! LOL!!!

  • wow - love this. Incredible graphics

  • how did u do this?

    Please REPLY!

  • Then I watched the existing clip of this (the last few seconds) and tried matching the camera position and motion to it. Then thought to myself what would have happened in the previous seconds and animated my interpretation of it. Probably a good 50 hours work in total!

  • Hmm first message disappeared.

Said I bought C4D from eBay, watched loads of vid tutorials (including a brilliant NSD tut from Mick Imrie) and made my own Dalek model adapting plans from 'projectdalek. com' using reference pics. Using more ref pics and a hell of a lot of effort I modeled the Capsule and eventually the rest of the set, trying as best as possible to make it match the Telesnaps.

  • It's fantastic!

  • Brill!

  • Great work - but colours were a bit pastel - reminded me of the "gay daleks" on TV Offal.

  • Well originally I had planned to render this scene and change it to monochrome so I just picked random colours that provided a nice level of contrast but I ended up liking the clip in colour and posted as is.

  • Excellent.

  • WOW! Fantastic work!

  • wow, with oly the last part of this scene, were the dalek goes 'we are not ready yet to teach these human beings the law of he daleks.' it is great to see the first part.

    20/10 great

  • WOW the whole scene and in colour as only part of the original exists. There was a comment about adding people...oh if only and the missing episodes of Dr Who would be zero.

  • OOO The bump when the camera gets too close to the dalek - Genius!!

  • that was incredible! awesome

  • can you make a scene with people in it too?

  • I'm working on it...

  • exquisite..! Top marks!

  • very good,i agree with the comments, this would be great for the older stories.

  • You could make the whole episode if you are as good as this!

  • You shouldnt have aligned the lights on the daleks head with his voice, because, if you remember, the lights were a little off with the voice sometimes in the old episodes.

  • I disagree, they're better aligned with the voice so you can distinguish which Dalek is speaking, even if they were slightly off originally.

  • My thoughts exactly. If I don't synchronise them it'll just look like I can't do it.

  • Exactly. We all want to see what you're capable off mate, if this clip is anything to go by, its quite impressive by the way, then stick at it - you've obviously got a talent for it. Please just give us some more mate!!

  • brilliant!

  • Im not sure exactly , i found it on a website which is listed on w w w . d a l e k l i n k s . c o . u k ,

if i find it i will tell you .

  • Someone else has done this in CGI .

  • Really? Who?

  • That is complete and utter genius. TV Broadcast quality. They should give you a job!

  • really is great stuff, i tip my hat

  • I think he would have to be offered a bloody good salary from the BBC before committing to that one. Why should they, with their vast cash reserves, get it all for free?

  • Why not try and make an ENTIRE episode of Power of the Daleks?

  • the bbc should be given this ago if u ask me instead of the cartoon restorations of the invasion, tho that was very good.

maybe oneday theyll look into this

troughton could be restored in his highest form if all his lost episodes were remade

  • What would be cool is if you could start off in CG, and transition into the real existing clip.

  • bloody fantastic

  • Great stuff!!

  • you even remembered to have the Dalek knock the camera, Nicely done

  • haha! you're right! brilliant work :)

I suspect that animating Daleks is a lot easier than doing the humans though :p

  • Excellent stuff.

  • that is the best animation you have done, why don't you bit by bit make the hole of the power of the daleks in your own time.

  • that is brilliant. brilliant work 5 stars :)
