  • does anyone know how good these handle in snow?

  • @416mcp i just got a fiesta 2011 it seemed to handle fine but its got good tires lots of grip cant panic and you have focus on your driving

  • @416mcp but i have only had it a month 11-11-11 and we only had snow once it was snowpack

  • I don't care how much cheaper having the assembly in Mexico is... I would gladly pay 1 grand more to have it built in America. God Dammit Ford......

  • Yes brothers let us hope and pray to Jesus that the God bless America version is as good.

  • @NaziJuice it's already out...

  • AMERICAN CAR BUILT BY GERMAN TECH

  • @logelamutp GERMAN INSPIRED, GERMAN DESIGN, BUILT BY GERMAN TECH WITH AMERICAN BADGE...

  • i test drove this car last week, i floored it after a red light to see its acceleration and i swear i went in reverse....

  • Looks like a nice car, with a few exceptions. I'd be interested in the SES, but I don't like the wheels it comes with. I'd have to change them out. Then there's the upholstery. I don't care for the print (why no solid fabric for cloth choice?), so I'd have to go with leather. And what about fog lights? The European version gets them. We don't, because...???? Anyway, my next purchase is between this and the 2012 Kia Rio, and right now the Rio has the edge.

  • But is it green?

    Yes... VERY.

  • VERY FUGLY. The 2012 accent, versa, and impreza are nicer than this shit.

  • I think this car is good because it's built on Mazda's C-Platform..

  • The SES version of this car is briiliant. It is a European car and handles like one. When Ford starts building this car in the US in 2012/13, I hope Ford keeps its European handling characteristics and DOES NOT dumb it down for the American market.

  • @rangdaaaa How rude.... LOL !

  • Comment removed

  • The New Hyundai Elantra....much bigger, much faster, much sophisticated...same MPG....guess which one is better.

  • @pedroawet23 Obviously more sophisticated than you lol It would read " much MORE sophisticated"

  • Guess the HUGE fuelprices finally reached the US :P

This car is fun to drive IF you upgrade it with a tuning package from mountune, available form select Ford dealers. That wil crack the power up to 155BHP and 180Nm of torque. Google them or see their videos @ their website.

  • So old. Why dont they do a recent test of the actual production car now? GRR

  • The 2011 Ford Fiesta is a car for smart people who knows that all you need in a car is to get around. The Fiesta can achieve 35 mpg. Thats Honda Civic Territory. All for just $13,255.

  • I love how americans live in a "perfect bubble" when there is so much ignorance. Mexico has been building cars (Ford, GM, Volkswagen) for many years! It is not something new. Besides whatever country they are build it is a fact that all the american brands suck. Lets be real! Next time you are driving look around you and see how many ford, chevrolets, dodge from the 80's and 90's you see. Answer: NONE! Most of the old cars are from Toyota, Honda, Nissan, some BMW, Volvos, and VW. True Fact!

  • @eldeivid Funny I see Ford and Government Motors cars all the from the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's in America maybe check your "facts" some more because in mentally ill thinking your just think right Toyotas are pieces of shit and have defects that have killed late as 2009 Honda I haven't seen that many on the road over 90's, nissan has really UGLY cars, trucks, and vans, BMW, VOLVO, & VW are made by germans and have recall after recall

  • thumbs up if you want to stop seeing those ads before the videos.

  • That doesnt look like an american car?...

  • @mehiael It isn't moron they brought over from ford's euro division.

  • I just bought a yellow 2011 fiesta SES with a dual clutch 6spd auto and the sport package :) It's such a nice car!

  • I've hit 48 MPG on the highway with cruise on =)

  • @chelsealynnexox one of the first American cars ive considered in years.

  • ....

  • Just to clarify something, it's a six- speed dual clutch automatic.

  • @logelamutp Did a genocidal German just call an American a warmonger? The ovens are hardly cold and you're judging America's foreign policy. What will you say when Iraq becomes the next Japan or Germany for that matter? It was American dollars and tech that rebuilt those countries. Hater...

  • I was going to purchase one of these Fiesta's for my daughter. But when I found out there built in Mexico I changed my mind.

  • @GerryK61 a lot of ford's vehicle's are assembled in Mexico as well as many of GM cars and trucks, but they are assembled in Mexico for many reasons and one of those is that Mexican's know how to assemble cars and that's why they make these cars over in Mexico, so think again!

  • @monkeyman28882

I wasn't implying that Mexico can't build a decent car. My comment refer's to keeping jobs in the US & Canada!

    So think again yourself!

  • @monkeyman28882 One of the reasons Ford makes them in Mexico is so they don't have to pay a 30% tariff many South America countries charge for US manufacturers, I think.

  • @monkeyman28882 I understand where you're coming from, but I'm under the impression that the Mexicans are not actually that skilled when it comes to assembling a car. Again I'm willing to discuss, but taking Ford for example, in North America for the longest time they were completely unreliable, while in the UK, the Fords there made by Germans are synonymous with reliability. Again not speaking from statistics, but my 1986 Corolla outlasted my 2004 Focus.

  • @gerryk61 Uh, they assemble cars in Mexico because of CHEAP LABOR and less red tape. Plain and simple. Not because 'Mexicans know how to assemble cars'. The US is EXTREMELY business un-friendly (under the current administration) which is why all our jobs get outsourced to China and Mexico.

  • @spunkyjivl So how is the US extremely unfriendly to business under this current administration ? Please explain. Would you say the last administration was business friendly?

And if you do believe they were, how do you explain for 2000-2008 era being reffered as the " lost decade of jobs"? According to the BLS, only 100 K jobs were created by the private sector a year. This is the worst of any president in US history.

Was is it because he was business unfriendly?

  • @GIUGIK1 howq is the US unfriendly to business? How about suing Boeing for OPENING a plant? How about Obamacare? How about Obama stating openly he wants to run coal mines and coal-fired power plants out of business? How about continuallyh calling for higher taxes?

  • @Srd1126 How about Obamacare? Have you not read that bussineses welcome the government offering healthcare ,thus cutting costs fro themselves?

Pres. Obama did not state he wants to run any coal mine or coal fired plant out of bussiness. Rand Paul , the pokemon hero of the Tea ( read inbred) movement said Obama has stated this. Stop quoting fox news as fact.

And when it comes to taxes, as share of GDP, we are collecting now less than we were collecting 20 years ago.

  • @GIUGIK1 I assume you walk around buthurt about the deficit that your boy Georgie left with in office, like all tea partiers do. Tell me this : Given that his tax cuts and starting of unfinanced wars led to this fiscal situation, what do you think is gonna get out of it? No tax increases? More tax cuts? No Social Security? No Medicare? What is it?

And please , inform yourself before you type. fox news talking points do not qualify as evidence or arguments.

  • @GIUGIK1 Obama stated himself at a debate that a person wanting to open a coal-fired power plant would face enormouse expense, so don't tell me he didn't say it. Lower taxes are better, the deficit problem is because we are spending 25% of GDP instead of the historical 20%. As to your comment on the Tea Party, what part of freedom, self-reliance, and Constitutionalism are you against? Nice slur, though, typical of lefty comments.

  • @Srd1126 I assume you walk around buthurt about the deficit that your boy Georgie left with in office, like all tea partiers do.

  • @monkeyman28882 no because its cheaper to assemble them there

  • @monkeyman28882

I'm not surprised it's assembled in Mexico...

    FIESTA!!!!

  • @GerryK61 There's nothing wrong with them being made in mexico. IT'S KEEPING ILLEGALS OUT OF OUR COUNTRY!!!! by providing work opportunities to those who have very few in a very unstable country.

  • repent for Jesus christ kingdom comes!! repent and be saved by blood of the lamb. Jesus is more important!! repent!!

  • built in mexico. /enough said.

  • my girlfriend is about to get one of these. definitely agree with MASON091... the SE is a better buy than the S, and still $2,000 less than the higher-end versions

If you can get an SE with the Sync and the heated seats/mirrors and ambient lighting/Sirius radio packages, it's a nicely-equipped and fun car for under $16,000 (under $15,000 if you want a manual). I was very impressed with its power, given its small size, and it can get up to 80 on the interstate without having to push too hard.

  • I had my fiesta S for three weeks, I love it!!, average 37mpg combined city and highway driving. The power of the little 1.6 was not disapointing. It has plenty of power to merge on highway with the 6spd auto. Im over 6' tall and this car has plenty of room in the front seat. If you have some one in the back seat it does get crampy. I would urge anyone to spend a few more dollars and get the SE with a few more options than the S.

  • @MASON091 Is the back still very small for passengers that are like 5'6? I was suprised I could fit in the front very well at 6' tall as well, but as I sat in the back in a test room, it was very small.

  • @Wootnezz......Yes, if you are 6' it does get small for anyone in the back seat but as long as your not going across country on a long road trip you should be fine, for short trips. but just a little up date I have 5000 miles on my car now and average mpg is 39!!

  • Ford's deep reappraisal of their global situation and self examination begins to clearly show with cars like THIS. And .. surprise! It's not a gas guzzling truck or a "awful aughties" SUV at all.. it's a seriously tempting, forward looking compact!! The most important message of all is that this company is ready to be modern and accept the challenge of today.

  • Fact: Ford Fiesta engineered by Germans haahaahaa

    american=fail

  • @logelamutp

Fact: Ford is an American company that is leveraging proven global talent. This = smart.

Welcome to the centuries old global economy!

I'm tired of this Anti-American BS. America is the worlds own personal Santa Claus flying around in our "failing" aircraft delivering more goods, money, and time than any other nation. So how about you stow the anti-american BS that your local liberal media is feeding you and join the global gang of unity?

    Haterz = Fail

  • @SaveUncleSam

german engineering FTW... you american have nothing without germans tech

we are far better than you... warmonger!!

  • It's a Ford not a Honda. Not even worth it.

  • @willie33040 are you dumb most north american cars are built in mexico and most electronic equipment you own is from mexico . not bad quality . mexicans are nice hard working people. so please stfu and go back to your cave ty

  • @96smd First and foremost drop the attitude; I never, ever said anything derogatory about Mexicans at all. No where in my post did you read that. I said and I quote "It's a Ford not a Honda. Not even worth it." I've owned a Ford Escort, Focus and an Escape. All of them; mega problems. While I must admit that this Fiesta has very European features, I'm very skeptical of Ford still. Only time will tell. I have an issue with "Ford's quality" not "Mexicans." Understand? ( o _ 0 )

  • Built in MEXICO??? I'm never buying a ford....

  • @tk4227 are you dumb most north american cars are built in mexico and most electronic equipment you own is from mexico . not bad quality . mexicans are nice hard working people. so please stfu and go back to your cave ty

  • @96smd Ford is generally regarded as an "American Car", yet it's built in mexico? just doesn't make sense to me with the economy is America being as bad as it is. I never bashed the Mexicans?? Are you smoking crack?? I suggest you go and get a life

  • @tk4227 At least it's keeping the mexicans in mexico instead of them coming here and working illegally.

  • thinking about buying this car myself.

  • $13,000!? Now that the Canadian Dollar is on Par im getting myself a new car!

  • i hate all the stupid TOYOTA commercials, do they realy think that will make us buy their cars?

  • I look at this car and I see many many things that can be added to it. Customized body kits, rims, low profile tires, etc. I could make it look sooooo much sweeter that this.

  • wtf ford. Apparently taking Ford's best selling car and taking a European car and calling it s "Ford" car. Not an america car.

  • ordered a 1.4 diesel....expecting it delivered any day now....very veeeeeery excited!

  • By the way, you do know Ford bought Mazda a long time ago right? Many of their models have tossed back and forth between the brands (Tribute to Escape, Fiesta to Mazda 2, Ranger to B-series just to name a few).

I also looked up the Mazda 3 hatch and it starts at $5000 more than the Fiesta hatch. Apples to Oranges at that point IMO.

  • @Yardjass

Ford owns a part of Mazda, they didn't completely buy it. Just like how Hyundai owns part of Kia and Toyota owns part of Subaru. But yeah, the Fiesta is better than the Mazda 3. Plus, Ford's newer designs look better than Mazda's.

  • @AppleMacBookAir2

Wow, well that explains them not giving all of their best technology to them (why the Fiesta is better than the 2). Very interesting.

  • I was impressed when I saw this at the auto show recently. I've always bought American [nameplates/brands, irrespective of assembly] and now I don't have to make excuses. Ford and GM have really stepped-up in the compact segment. I may wait until the 2012 Focus hits market.

  • You'll learn to respect it when you're in a tight city running around the trucks, and busses.

  • Why didn't they make the back seat bigger? A tiny backseat is not very practical in an otherwise practical car.

  • @edyken77 they cant just ake the back seat bigthere is no room

  • @llLucky13ll then why is there so much room in a fit?

  • @edyken77 the fit is slightly larger

  • HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa can that grocery carrier even top 100mph? it's very difficult to believe that ford would even think to mass produce this garbage.

  • @MrMagicman73 You're an idiot, it's already mass produced all over europe and it's a great hit.

  • @racingisnotacrime21 funny, that's what i stated in my previous comment. Turns out that you are the one that may be an idiot.

  • @MrMagicman73 your way of thinking is the wave of the future, *sarcastic*. You idiot...

  • @googoo120 ok so if im an idiot and you're so smart, then explain your dumbass username

  • @MrMagicman73 yeah screw me and my username... All vehicles should go 100 mph + to be mass produced.

BTW MrMagicman... thats what your mom called me last night

  • @silverrapth Go ahead and defend this piece of plastic on cinder blocks and spend 15k on it when you can get the same car with more room and better performance for the same price. And no wonder this car is so common in europe, have you ever even seen a mass produced european car? Google popular cars in Itlay or France or something and look at what comes up. Reminds me of the ford pinto except they are smaller like the smart cars. And sure bring my mom into this when you can't defend yourself.

  • @MrMagicman73 It has nothing to do with your actual mom, i'm pointing out how my name, as with your mom, has nothing to do with the debate. This specific car may be whatever, but my point on how your way of thinking is the opposite of what we need. Have you test driven it? It accelerates very fast and handles well. This is a car that appeals to many people while being fuel efficient. What car has more room and better performance for the same price? Does it come with equal features?

  • @googoo120

No car has equal room and features, better performance and fuel economy for the same price... The closest thing is a Golf TDI that outclasses it quite a bit but at roughly $10,000 more to buy.

  • @googoo120 ill give it that it handles ok but it's because its likely because its front wheel drive. acceleration however, its like 0-60 in 9 seconds. I know you might have different interests as to why you may want the car but look into the 2010 mazda 3 you'll find its much more worth the money. Plus, "american" made cars do not generally last as long and the safty ratings for mazda are higher. and yea I was joking around when i mentioned my mom

  • @MrMagicman73

So what exactly can you get for 15k that is better? They are nowhere near as small as smart cars by the way. A Fiesta is a sub-compact, a smart is a wheel chock.

  • @Yardjass i was implying that the ford fiesta is similar to european produced cars, those of which look like smart cars. and the madza 3 for example is better worth the money you would pay for the fiesta. mazda has better performance, safty ratings, durability, and knowing that they are both hatchys, the madza has more room in it- i've been in both

  • @MrMagicman73

That's a fair point. I want the gas mileage of the Fiesta. 0-60 is no big deal because in my mind you either buy a sports car or you don't. Anything in between is a waste. It gets the best gas mileage of any 2011 non-hybrid car in the USA that takes regular gasoline and the diesel ones in Europe are getting 70 mpg. For durability, check out other Fords in consumer reports and the Fiesta's great European ratings. 100% guarantee it will last exactly as long as a Mazda 2 :P

  • @MrMagicman73 Have you tried driving one?

  • planning to get new car, im down to ford fiesta (made in mexico) or the hyundai elantra (made in usa), what to get???

  • @BBfreak8 ford more reliable, worth the money, better on gas, looks better. Elantra bigger, american made

  • I love my Fiesta. My 1st American car in 37 years and it's wonderful!

  • I don't understand why American automakers keep the washer nozzles on the hood? The location make it difficult to remove wax and when driving at highway speeds, I would think that the washer fluid would blow away from the windshield.

My '74 Galaxie had the best idea: put the washer delivery system on the wiper arms, spraying directly onto the windshield. The current washer directors are distracting & inefficient. They're ugly.

  • I would buy one just to learn to drive a stick. After that, I'll just give the car to one of my nieces to drive. It looks more like a high school girl and old folks kinda car. It's cute! Those are the only words I can use to describe it.

  • mmmmmm I see a Honda Fit.

  • made in mexico. mazda2 with ford badging.

  • @mehiael But, the Mazda2 has a 1.5L engine and a 4-speed auto, where this has a 1.6L and a 6-speed auto. The US Fiesta is made in Mexico, where the Mazda2 is made in Japan (For the US market). The only thing that's common between the two cars is the platform.

  • @TheZachalope thats close enough. just tell me the ford fiesta doesnt look like a ford right??

  • @TheZachalope

You're right, the 6-speed automatic is a dual-clutch automatic. It's believed that the highway MPG is 40.

  • this shit is recommended cuz its fuccing sexy... anyone know how many k's of miles it can run for?

  • @josh1303

We are here in Canada producing bigger and better cars like Corolla and Civic which cost the same as this little econobox. And we don't work for $6.

  • lose some weight, save some gas

  • @fxo1024

    LoL!

  • actually its a 6 speed automatic, dumbass.

  • fuck mexico

  • who cares about mexicos economy we need to focus on r own economy i reather have them bilt in the US so it brings more jobs

  • @jacobmorell Raise Mexico's economy = more people can get jobs and provide for their families = fewer immigrants.

  • @jacobmorell

But you Americans would not want to work for 6 bucks an hour. This is a compact car with a cheap price tag. There is no way Ford could ask the price they are if the car was built in USA.

  • That's a Ford? I thought it was a Toyota...oh yea its a mazda2 with ford badging

  • Nooooo. Don't buy something that is not made in US or Canada. Let Mexico figure out what to do with their economy. We need jobs HERE. Lets buy locally produced cars(as long as they are good cars) for a while and then will see. Every man for himself. :)

  • buy stock in Ford, boys! Great cars everyone can afford. That is true american quality. Sure GM makes some great cars but anything worth driving starts at $65

  • @EccentricE86--I agree. At least it ain't NO STINKING HONDA.

  • 118HP? lmao i hate small cars and cars that have small engines

  • Hold that thought, "Will be built in mexico"! Well i wonder who's idea it was to offer to have it be assembled in mexico...

  • @gasflame62 Is anything wrong that a car is build in mexico??

  • @jvccruz16 meh, i'd want mine to be assembled in Germany or Michigan at the ford plant, you can get an idea thought right, Germans build some good cars.

  • @gasflame62 Just because a car is build in Mexico it does not mean its not going to work!! We have a car that was build in Mexico and it still works, and we have like 10 years with it and im not lying!!

  • @jvccruz16 i know, i just like cars built in places im familiar with, its just some thing of mine.

  • @jvccruz16 Good for Mexico's economy but we're hurting for jobs as well...so it would be good for US jobs if they were built here.

  • @contributor34 Well i think US has alot of jobs for people, Mexico does not, thats why i think its better if the cars are build over there, its going to help Mexico's economy!!

  • It seems like one company was building a car and another the transmission. It just doesn't know when to shift. RMP goes nuts and engine is making too much noise.

    GO WITH 5 SPEED

Other then that seems like a nice little unit.

The sedan styling is awful while hatchback is very cool looking.

But I still think Nissan Versa is the number 1 pick in the class for safety, power, size, features, economy AND is still cheaper here in Canada then Ford Fiesta(Hatchback)

  • meh ford fails what is that?

  • so small for my fatty family

  • @EricJr007 i dont think that car was made for your fat family. Its being marketed towards college kids and young adults.

  • I bought the Fiesta SE about two months ago. I love the car, but it needs a little power. A stock turbo perhaps. I know the car is too new. But some aftermarket companies should really consider making aftermarket parts for it.

  • Now what ford needs to do is make an awd turbo fiesta for the consumer market!!! They can probably pick up a lot of us disgruntled subaru wrx fans. I know if they offered something like this I would be all over it.

  • Test drove one today with checkbook in hand. Feels very cheap, sluggish and uglier than what is shown on camera, especially for a $15K out the door base model. Was ecstatic when I heard we where going to get the new one, a year later I am very disappointed. No turbo option/sport tune like they said originally. Let alone a five door sub compact? Really? Cant even fit a dish box through the back doors. Hopefully the new Foci is better.

  • wheres the bloody exhaust pipe in the rear bumber?

  • 34 years later america finally gets the fiesta :) best small car in europe...now i think the mustang should come to england i wish :(....other fiestas the americans have missed out on which are good models worth importing to the states are the mk1...mk2 and mk3 fiestas this fiesta in the video is the mk7, best early ones are the mk1 supersport very expensive and rare and the mk1 xr2... mk2 xr2 and mk3 rs turbos, xr2i's, si's and rs1800 models highly recommend these fiestas :)

  • this is a joke the European model gets over 50mpg what the hell happend? Ohh yea big oil

  • The sedan (as it is w/the Focus) is some BS. I wish the American market wasn't so adverse to hatches, the Fiesta looks infinitely better that way (as does the Focus).

  • I bought my Fiesta 2009 just few days ago... I fell in love with it... It is wondeful car...

  • I bought the 2009 Fiesta Zetec S and it's been nothing short of superb. Great looks, great chassis and better equipped than any other hatchback on the road. Recommended

  • @ReTrODaZ is it good on gas?

  • @Vlaxerman343 If you drive it economically it's great on gas but it can be a little thirsty if you push it on the motorway.

  • @ReTrODaZ Thats because the chassis was taken from the Mazda2.

  • @ReTrODaZ how would you reccomend this as a first car?

  • @llLucky13ll It's a definate go-er as a first car. :)

  • @ReTrODaZ well i think i have made my decision then. Nw i just have to decide hatch or sedan

  • @ReTrODaZ thinking about buying the Ford racing suspension?

  • Doesnt look like a "ford" Looks like a toyota.

American cars are built in mexico and canada. japanese cars are built in the usa.

  • @mehiael Japanese cars are ASSEMBLED in the USA. They keep the good jobs are allow us to assemble them (the low paying jobs) for them, most of the money goes back to Japan to aid their economy. Wake up! Why do you think we're in the toilet? We support THEM!

  • @mehiael That's because it's a Mazda 2 in Ford badging.

  • @doooey3329 That makes sense actually. It IS a Mazda 2 in Ford badging.

  • @mehiael mazda n fiesta they are not same cars at all. They are totally different...

  • Old video

  • I want this car so badly. It's just too cute

  • THIS is what Ken Block left his STi for!?!?!?!?

  • so cute!

  • @ImportedFromSerbia, @EatmyDust1311... hey, how about this test on the Fiesta ??? stay on topic for fucks sake !

  • @ProfessorIgor

:) Sorry about it. That car was designed for EU, and the car will have, unless already has, a good sale, but for USA, the story will have different end. Why? Average american thinks differently, they do not prefer little cars, rather they buy and pay more for big cars. Fiesta is welcome to EU.:) I love design, mostly.

Other characteristics are good for the car size and usage purposes.

    2cents from me for Fiesta.

  • Dude i've been to europe and your cars aren't that much smaller.

  • @NJRocks281

Not much smaller but very popular cars, contrast to US where small cars, like hatchback, are not popular.

  • @ImportedFromSerbia Market is changing. Which is why import sales are killing domestic sales.

  • @Swidhelm This car is going to be built in Mexico, so it is an import.

  • @Swidhelm Yeah, but you can thank globalisation for that. It costs big companies less to build things in countries where the economy isn't a fraction of their own. Which is why we (both American and Canada) have lost the bulk of our manufacturing jobs. For all intents and purposes in this argument we'll call Ford a domestic, despite the Fiesta being made in Mexico. But cars like the Mazda 3, the Honda Civic, etc are killing domestic sales.

  • this is the first fiesta that i really like, particulary the most equiped one, the only thing i dislike is that they are copying the ibizas emblematic green color, so i rather buy a black one or something,

  • 4 speed auto?! Fiestas in the Philippines come in the 6 spd dual clutch.

  • BUY AMERICAN ! USA

  • @smczack1 hey retard it was designed in europe and built in mexico. what is american about it other then the name

  • @nameis12396 Hey nameis have a good day, wish the best for you and yours . No name calling here . See ya buddy.

  • i live in uk ,i dont know why you lot are so obsessed with fiesta , ive got a white one ,

  • BUY AMERICAN CARS!

  • But how well does the North America-spec model fare on marble? Can I still elude those baddies in a Corvette at the mall?

  • I don't like the name >:(

  • my suck country cost double to buy this car.. fuck Malaysia
