I never heard of Jesse until I found "BROKEN RADIO"now I notice he gets played on"UNDERGROUND GARAGE"on sirius radio,he has a cool sound,he obviously has great influences,Bruce,Iggy,Sam Cooke,Dead Boys, that kind of variety impresses me.
I saw jesse at kim's video on st. mark's about 5 times a week before it closed last year. So I guess the crazy angry security guys there just allowed him to loiter. mmm hmmm....
What is weird about Jesse is that he is not david Bowie or have that type of status or career but people hate on him like crazy. The jealousy this man incurs in the people, especially certain of his contemporaries (or wanna be contemporaries) is a bit spooky.
Thanks Lesly, I just bought Glitter in the Gutter and it's excellent. I'd heard songs off of it, but listening to the whole CD is great. I have an extra ticket... come on over! March 8 in Atlanta.
Thanks for the offer hlyra but it's a bit far to travel as I'm in London! Would love to come but I'll be working, but post back here to let us know how you enjoyed it!
Just getting back to you.... :) Jesse was great, of course. You can see the videos from ATL and Criminal Records on youtube for yourself. He's back here this summer with Butch Walker. Acoustic show again. Have yet to see him with a full band. But still great.
Totally agree with my other fellow youtuber, his live shows are awesome!met him a couple of times at U.k gigs and he is a genuinely sincere heartfelt rock&roller. His most recent album is outstanding!Go buy.
not just an underrated talent, also one of the most sincere/down-to-earth musicians around with a uniquely balanced humble/funny stage presence. his live show is not to be missed under any circumstances (except for maybe death)

Jesse is one of the best live acts you will ever see. The music is great, the stories are funny and the energy keeps you going for days after. Enjoy!
