Was this where Fergie called Zola, a "clever little so and so?" I miss those early days in the Premiership where every team seemed to have a talisman. Man U had Cantona. Arsenal had Bergkamp, Liverpool had Fowler, Newcastle had Ginola, Chelsea had Zola and Southampton had Le Tissier.

As a United fan, I'd agree.

He was a great player and the kind of player who could hurt you.

But despite that, he wasn't one of the opposition you'd hate for "cheating" or "diving". You respected him because he was class.

BTW, he deserves much better than the way he's been treated by the new West Ham owners.
